  @@aljenator123cat9 I released this first video with one style of the lyric subtitles and a subscriber mentioned if I could make a slightly clearer way of reading the lyrics for folk. So I made the 2nd video and simply changed the subtitle format. Funnily enough though, this original video has more views anyway lol

  I think it is a Rubies II Trap, that's the closest I could find when I researched before I began the project

  So I was bored and reversed engineered the Walmart Rubies version's gear box they used. 3d print the case and actuator, along with some gears and the 5v motor and limit switches and re use the existing bomb bay door mechanism in the Spirit Trap and voila. Assembly slide into the spirt trap like it belongs there. Add a pedal and you have a remote opening trap.

  How much would it be for you to repair a first gen Teddy Ruxpin? Mine is in good condition but his eyes and lower jaw motors don’t work. He also needs a new pinch roller. I’m located in the UK.

  How are these digital remasters done? Because holy moly is this crazy good quality!! (I might still need lyrics though because some lines are still a little unclear because of what I think is record scratching, when her voice is a bit raspy)

  Really good sound quality for what you had to work against, but ya know.. I have a hunch that a lot of the wow & flutter ‘just ‘might’ be caused by the pinch roller inside the tape depending on where/how the tapes were stored. The reason I say that is I have some experience with tape cartridge style cassettes.. from 8-track tapes to even the mini carts the late WoW/Playskool Teddy Ruxpin took and I’d say almost always, this type of wow & flutter was caused by the pinch roller being warped somehow.. either by it being kept inside the player and the capstan that moves it being pushed against it in a certain position, created the dent or warp in the rubber, or just the rubber being old and sticky/deteriorated.. something you may want to try is replacing the pinch roller inside the tape with a brand new one if you’re able to find out the exact size of it. That might improve the wow & flutter in the audio/playback quality, if you haven’t yet. 👍🏻 Otherwise, I commend you for taking on this task of digitizing these tapes to the best of your abilities. It’s def not an easy task, that’s for sure. Certainly not something I’d have the patience to deal with, getting into it. Jill is ‘super’ complex. Haha! Gotta say I admire you folks archiving her. Keep up the amazing/good work you and the Clubhouse guy have done!

Yeah Teddy Ruxpin is a great little chap, but yes like all these old animatronics they are getting to be almost 40 years old now and more often than not develop lots of age related issues, wear and tear etc. But most of the time, a lot of the issues can be rectified with the right parts and knowledge

  Yep, she's running at full power here - i use a powerful external power supply when testing/running my Jills for long periods, saves tonnes of batteries! However, it is not something i would recommend to anyone that doesn't know what they're doing - one mistake, too much voltage etc and she can be damaged beyond repair!

  Absolutely and boy was I annoyed - this entire section is the worst of the whole tape! But i ran a poll and the people decided i should try and remaster it anyway. Guess they just wanted to hear the song somehow and so did I 🙂
