I'm afraid I don't have the mall tape in the collection yet, but if I ever find one then stay tuned 😉

Hi, im restoring my jill but i cant seem to get the arms in a good working condition, they always struggle to go up even with new belts, would you recommend an oil to lubricate the gear box ? And it seems that when powering up directly the motors with a power source they work better and since the solder points are very brittle i might resolder every cable for the arm motors. But maybe some of the capacitors on the main board could cause a loss of power and it's not a lot of work to replace all of them. What would you recommend ?

Welcome to the Jill Club, an amazing place to be! Sounds great that you're getting into your restoration. As you've no doubt discovered, Jill is basically a complex robot in a pretty dolls body when all is said and done - there are MANY issues that develop within her mechanics, for reasons I could write pages on haha. Best thing to do is email me - louispoliteuk@yahoo.co.uk and I will see about giving some advice, although I am very busy at the moment, I'll do my best 🙂
