Jon thanks for the update! 😁👌 Square Gardens is one of the most aesthetically pleasing developments. Mcr is going through a phenomenal change, much-needed. The green building next door, 5, First Street is underway. The Government as part of Levelling Up is moving staff from Whitehall. His Majesty's Treasury has an office in Darlington. Mcr is a big recipient too. 5, First Street is one example, being built for the Government. Another development is the old Central Retail Park site on Great Ancoats Street which is going to be a Digital and Data Centre for the Civil Service. Much appreciated that you are cataloguing it. 👏
I think it's marvellous. Sure it had some teething problems but when you're cutting edge environmentally and technologically it's not surprising. It's neat sleek design will complement the Family Stand enlargement and Stadia improvement. 👏
Massive projects always have some issues. But at least it's up and running now

It is a fabulous building to video etc. I must go after dark. Look at the gardens on the rooftops, tons of soil ready to seed with grass. It's will look great when it's finished. The big tower is over 400 feet.
Another belter mate, I need to get overthrew as I want to video an estate further up the canal where I was brought up

Please note Salboy & Domis plan the largest residential tower in Europe at 76-storeys as no doubt you are aware, as part of Viaduct2. A, swimming-pool and facilities already exist under the viaduct for residents of Viadux1. Two weeks ago their public consultation ended and they formally lodged their proposals with the city council. Last week the application was given a first hearing apparently. Mcr & Salford are almost going through the same convulsion of building currently as they did in the 1700's_1800's.

Does look nice now but why are all the buildings the exact same looking?
I don't think they all look exactly the same, I can recognise each one. Some are rounded, some oblong, some slight curves. Different styles of glass. There is more variation than the average housing development with all the same upvc frames and doors and roof tiles. You have to go with the current trends and cost limits. Also efficiency, the highly insulated double and triple glazing etc. Many years ago a man built a big mill in Manchester, then there was lots of Mills, all the same.

Once the blinds are installed they'll look as horrific as Deansgate Square building.
A question of taste really, I think the Deansgate buildings look amazing. Fashion also plays a part. We have millions of houses with vertical blinds behind upvc frames, all looking the same. All with composite doors or white plastic foam doors. The Marmite towers, love them or hate them, very much a part of life now. Expensive real estate make buildings go upwards.

I've been around there again today, looking at the 2nd tower on the site. Still quite low, but ready to grow. The drone had a bird strike, stupid pigeon! Drone and bird OK Video going up soon...

need some new steer tyres now
I managed 60,000 miles on two sets of tyres on that car, 5 years running it. Not often I parked in such a small spot.

@cgee3999 Depending on where you are from. Even in the UK, large goods vehicle tyres would be described as "steering axle tyres", as they often have different tread and special laws regarding the maximum age they can be.
