Vista River Gardens

The new towers on Regent road, near the city centre. Manchester City centre. Vista River Gardens.
The first tower is now on the 34th floor. The construction of tower 2 is now underway. The views the residents will get is amazing. That is if you like the new Manchester skyline.
I know some hate it. Throughout history, mankind has shown his power with big and imposing buildings, even the religious sector built big, tall churches to show the power of their gods etc.
Potential investors in Manchester will be impressed with this skyline now, it shouts confidence.

Thank you so much for the update! 🙂👍 The Trinity Towers and St. Michael's Tower will be landmarks. Very clear and explanatory. One of your better vids! 👌 Best wishes. 😀

Does look nice now but why are all the buildings the exact same looking?

I don't think they all look exactly the same, I can recognise each one. Some are rounded, some oblong, some slight curves. Different styles of glass. There is more variation than the average housing development with all the same upvc frames and doors and roof tiles. You have to go with the current trends and cost limits. Also efficiency, the highly insulated double and triple glazing etc. Many years ago a man built a big mill in Manchester, then there was lots of Mills, all the same.

Look great but the rents are very high and I feel youngsters starting out will struggle to just get by never mind saving for a home, the bubble may burst one day and these may be next slums, should build decent houses at fair rents (not ‘market value’) for our next generation of young people

But who can afford to build without profit, and where. People want to live in the city now. £2,000 a month is being paid, what wages are these people on.

@@JJandDad I realise it has to be sustainable but a radical approach could see quality houses built by training youngsters in skills like bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, electrical engineering etc, etc all being subsidised by government to begin with but surely employing a generation of youngsters with good wages , skills and prospects for the future would eventually more than pay for itself and we would be helping everyone (except for greedy capitalists looking for instant profit) whoever is brave enough to do this would help every decent citizen

Once the blinds are installed they'll look as horrific as Deansgate Square building.

A question of taste really, I think the Deansgate buildings look amazing. Fashion also plays a part. We have millions of houses with vertical blinds behind upvc frames, all looking the same. All with composite doors or white plastic foam doors. The Marmite towers, love them or hate them, very much a part of life now. Expensive real estate make buildings go upwards.
