Trolles is great, you just need to pick your time. Really miss flying down that sucker😅
Great how a world class skier like Bell does it in 3 minutes. Took me 20 mins generally. It was the last run I did before I hung up my boots. That afternoon I went from very top of Le Fornet to valley, then to top of Solaise to valley then up Bellevarde and down La Face. What a glorious end to my 40 years of skiing, I'll never forget that last day!
Don't stop skiing!
Ouah !!! J’adore cette piste également mais j’avoue la faire en 2’10 👌👌👏👏 c’est vraiment phénoménal
I did this run about 30 years ago and once was truly enough. I ploughed for all I was worth down the first section.
I was on this run today. Dont think its been groomed in weeks or over a month. Fully mogulled and icy so this video makes it look like a dream!
He makes it look easy. It isn't
The devils run on the other side of the valley is another great run not a steep but still pretty daunting and a lot longer.
I went down during half term week, and it was full of way too many people who just couldn't ski it. A really fun piste though.
Thanks for these videos.
How does he down hill where normal people have to turn round moguls etc. Amazing skill. Love watching Olympians in more "normal " settings as it shows the gulf between normal and gods
Beautiful. Weird Europeans call that a black though.
Don't be fooled by the camera - it doesn't really show how steep it is, especially at the top. And it's not always groomed. I was there last week, it was a full mogul run (and deep ones at that!). I spent way more than two minutes to get to the bottom!
I used to work in Val d'Isere as a ski host. Used to love a first thing Face run on our day off. If we had any arrogant and cocky skiers in our group who thought they were the next Marcel Hirscher we would take them down the Face as the last run of the day, was a great cure for hubris haha.
At 1min 18secs he says not a lot of people come down this run. I guess he doesn’t ski this run in the afternoon… It’s actually the most crowded black run in Tignes from about 3pm onwards. Basically the only run back into Tignes le Lac from the Val d’Isere direction. The “narrow” part near the gondola is often a traffic jam late afternoon. 😢
Amazing skiing, beautiful to watch you 👏👏👏
I remember doing this run at like 3pm, the moguls on the steepest part at 1:28 were hectic
What's with the music? Should've been some hardcore drum n bass!
Steeped groomed slope like that is easy!!!
It’s the bit that follows the ridge at 0:50 that’s the hardest. I had my worst fall ever down that slope doing backwards somersaults narrowly missing rocks
Quite steep and a little icy when I did it but miles better than the awful crowded blue run that takes you down into Val d'Isere if you're coming from Tignes
Wow, Black 14 is one we avoid most years. I’ve watched my friends end up sitting on their snowboards to get down that. Good job!
i worked i a chalet at the bottom of trolles in the mid ninties
1:20 almost guaranteed snowboarder sitting in the middle of the slope below a jump
Skied this years ago (in the 90s). Lack of fresh snow meant the narrow/"it rocky" part had moguls the size of Renault 5s. No opportunity to look cool as you pick your way down it.
0:10 I lost my favourite hip flask off to the right of the start of this run back in 1998 - we were taking an off-piste route. If any one found it can you let me know. I still miss it.
Why do carry a hip flask when you’re skiing? Do you carry one when you’re driving?
@@tortinwall I found it to be a better alternative to my LSD habit
Skied this in 1990/91 just before the Albertville games, once it was known what all the courses were. True leg burner. The English & Welsh Universities Ski Council (EWUSC) would hold its championships around here - Tignes, Les Meniures, Les Arc - around then.
Что за мужик ?
Been to Courcheval a fair few times including once the week before Christmas when it snowed every night and then cleared up each day...probably once in a lifetime conditions.
It's not that difficult. The first bit is OK if there's no one else about.
Speed trap apparently went in at the bottom after a death a few years back. This, along with Combe de Caron in Val Thorens are two of my favourite Black pistes.
The run itself wasn't even that hard for me on good conditions, but it does take some courage to make it over that ridge at the beginning though.
I’ve been skiing on them since 2017 and they butter like nothing else
Love the trolles
FIVE!! I'd be broken after two!! First thing in the morning too!! Impressive with cold legs!! Won't be cold by the bottom. Snow was in fab condition too!
And to think europeans actually get on a plane to ski in the US! Weird😅
❤ Kitzbhuel
I watched somebody fall down it three days ago, must have fallen 200m, I've never seen anybody fall so fast!! 😆
You never saw a sky like this in the Alps before 2020. Virus riddled, no doubt
The run is called "home run" or there a number?
Skied this the other day and was sheet ice 5 people fell in the space of 30 seconds
Incredible skier , so fast !
Both extreme sports performer and inventor
That's' it ??? Nose Dive (Stowe), MAmmoth Mtn, Free Fall (Smugglers Notch) waaaay steeper.
He did it is less then 2 minutes, and makes it look so easy to do.
The way he’s shouting to the camera between breaths so casually 😂😂😂
Exhilarating!
It used to be my breakfast
I'm 66 and will be 67 next season as a mature beginner, and I don't have the time to build my skills up to tackle Black 14, maybe if I was 10 to 15 years younger I might have, but not at my age.
Soyjak
The last time I did this was a few years ago. There was some carnage with plenty of equipment left at the top of the couloir with the owners near the bottom. I skied it with three skis under one arm and five poles under the other (two of them being mine).
Best black run in the world for me. Did it for 15 years and still enjoy it.
