Nice review enjoyed I had a test drive in on today I was quite impressed.
Lots of talk about the performance exhaust "option" - it's standard on C43 facelift coupé
If you just wanna start the car with the exhaust baffles open, I believe you start the car whilst holding either the down or up paddle shifter. So that it can still idle comfort mode.
Does the road noise as bad as it sounds ?
Lloyd- excellent and thoughtful review. I'm about to finally receive this exact same car in the same selenite grey metallic but with red interior. It's pretty flashy but I've grown used to red interiors as my daily driver is a Maserati GT which is full red interior. It just puts me in a good mood when I'm driving. The only thing I did not get and maybe should have done is getting it in "night package" but $5000 dollars seems like a lot for a few black bits here and there. I plan on wrapping it in clear satin finish to give it more of a matte look (magno style) while protecting it from all those branches and trees as I go 4x4ing :-P

I'm just taking a stab here but I reckon the comfort start is mainly so it warms up so you don't just flang it from cold

What’s the color called ?
Selenite Grey Metallic - I have the same color / same car. It looks even better with a clear satin wrap on it!
The car starting in comfort is due to the WLTP regulations. The same with my RS3, same with other new "sport" cars.
You actually can „sport start“ the c43 by holding the upshift paddle while starting the car... you will hear very loud pops and crackles - just always wasn‘t satisfyed with the startup
My c43 from 03/2019 doesn’t have the emotion Start feature
mercedes know not everyone is able to afford a damn v8. Not cause people dont have the money, but because in many countries its bloody expensive to own a v8. The price will double just cause theres a v8 under the hood.
