One of the best V6 choices out there at the moment for practicality and fun. Absolutely love the C43. Picked mine up in 2019.

Any problems yet ? I am thinking of getting the 2019 c43 this year maybe. How reliable is it ?

Thanks for your feedback. Audio has been a challenge throughout and still is even now. I've brought a Go Pro Hero 7 Black and the stabilisation and image quality is great but even that picks up a lot of background/Road noise. The struggles lol

Recently bought an 18 plate, C43 from there. Loving it.

You actually can „sport start“ the c43 by holding the upshift paddle while starting the car... you will hear very loud pops and crackles - just always wasn‘t satisfyed with the startup

My c43 from 03/2019 doesn’t have the emotion Start feature

If you just wanna start the car with the exhaust baffles open, I believe you start the car whilst holding either the down or up paddle shifter. So that it can still idle comfort mode.

You can also start it in S/S+ too. Without touching the brake, You press the ignition button twice.. then select s/s+. Then start the car.

Think you need better sound recording equipment mate Good review all round

Thanks for sharing! I have same car in Australia. I have the interior & exterior light delay time on 30 seconds & have surround lighting activated. Last week the lights stopped working on delay time same as did the surround lighting. Mercedes have found a software issue with it. All 2019 C class models have this issue here now! They are waiting for response from head office. Alot here don’t know they have issue as they don’t have light/s on delay time! Does yours work?

Nice man, keep it up! And about the startup in other modes, I think you could turn on the car 'half way' (so only the electronic stuff starts up not the engine) then put it in Sport+ and then Start up the Engine.

I'm just taking a stab here but I reckon the comfort start is mainly so it warms up so you don't just flang it from cold

@@lloydfreeman4905 i just chickend out of buying a v8 first one that was in budget sold as did not know they were selling cars in lockdown second one left it got a E400 amg convertable now really thinking c43 nxt yr was going c63 but running cost's and end of the day all the roads around me are 50 so do you need more than a C43 amg got to have a pan roof thou great vid mate

C63 is a twin turbo, its not naturally aspirated

To get the car to start in S+ press the key less go button with out your foot on break car will come to life but not start the engine, select the S+ option then press and hold key less go button with foot on the break. Hope that makes sense.

The performance exhaust is a standard with the face lift... at least that’s what I was told by my local merc dealership as I’m looking to get one..

Hi there Lloyd hope u doin well, I'm looking at getting an E53 AMG, Merc always had an inline 6 engine back in the days, then introduced V6 only some years ago and now the E53 went back to the inline 6 Cylinder, what are your thoughts on that and is the inline 6 better than the V configuration? I'm Hameed from Cape Town South Africa. TX in advance.

Hi Hameed, sorry for the delayed response. I don't always get notifications when people have commented. It's a difficult call if I'm honest. Considering the E53 doesn't have a performance exhaust I still thought the sound was lovely, however the V6 in the C43 with the performance exhaust is a different ball game. That would be the only negative to the E53 for me is that there is no option for the performance exhaust but I still think it's a cracking car! The step up from the C Class to E Class is quite significant in my opinion. Thanks for watching and for commenting. Lloyd

I know the E Class is offset but didn't think the C Class was.

The car starting in comfort is due to the WLTP regulations. The same with my RS3, same with other new "sport" cars.

Did you find that the steering still skipped at low speeds? The old 4-matic tyre judder issue on RHD cars...

I had that on my C43. (Brand new on a 66 plate), Mercedes were total arseholes about the whole situation so I traded it in for an F-Type R after 3 months.I'll never touch a Merc again.

I wish the Merc make an E63 Coupe & that will be awesome. I own a 2017 C43 & I totally agreed with you with the startup when everything switches back to comfort mode & It is very annoying. Keep up the good working. "me subscribed".

Lloyd Freeman you can start it up in sport plus. put the key in, switch it all the way to the top option (right before ignition start up) and put it in sport plus with dynamic select

In terms of exhaust output. I've heard that there was a new filter added which made the sound slightly different. From videos I've seen, it seems like the pops and bangs arent as loud.

Is there a lot of noise entering the cabin, the road noise?? I thought it was sound insulated

I think it sounds worse on the microphone. Sat in it driving isn't anywhere near as bad as it sounds.

Does e53 coupe come with air suspension as standard ?which of the two comes closer to Amg performance? Very nice review indeed! Which reason would you buy c43 and which reason the e53? (Two many questions...)

I really like what Mercedes have done with both cars. The downside on the E53 is no Performance exhaust option but the plus is the Air Suspension as standard. On the flip side the C43 is much improved over the original C43 and with the performance exhaust sounds incredible. The ideal scenario for me would be to merge the two and you'd have the perfect car (in my opinion) it's difficult to say which I'd choose as I love the interior of the E53 but prefer the exterior of the C43. Tough choice!

Your review is very close to what i needed as mercedes dealers dont offer opportunity to test drive these cars in athens. Do you believe one of the two is better regarding driving dynamics or handling? Thank you!

I thought it was fine for a sports car 👍🏽 seats were comfortable, naturally with low profile tyres and a sports suspension it's slightly firmer but not unbearable.

Can't hear the engine over the tyre roar...!

@@samg8388 my friend. You have no idea. ;) my best friend have new version of c43 and i have 2017 version. My C43 have Performance Exhoust and louder than new c43. And sounds much better than new c43. AND I KNOW WHY ... but my english is not so good at explaining it on a technical level. inside there are differences. New c43 more digital and i like it more than my old c43. This is absolutely the same car but more digital....same motor.... more refined and habe NEW FILTER!!!!....and this is very very big problem of this new car. BUT i love all c43)))). Old or new.....it doest matter))

@@demon6915 same car? 11500 parts The new c43 has new 6500 changed/updated Probably your best friend with new c43 didn't opt the ergonomical package that includes the performance exhaust I ordered one and expecting delivery late March And it's true all c43 Are great I can afford the c63 but decided to get th e c43 instead as it will do more than I want it to do I terms of performance technology usability and of course the sound !!!!! The c63 is only good for track It's a wild horse that you will need to be trained to ride it not the other way around Plus my dealer said no matter what amg you buy you will always be treated as an amg customer plus it's not a fake badge Bye bye BMW and Audi I'm finally converted

I used to be an Audi man, I’ve had the A1,2,3,4,5,6. Great cars with Brilliant quality and so very solid. They all felt like similar cars although quattro added a dimension that was unbelievable without wheel spin. I know more about audi than their average salesperson. I’ve since come back to Mercedes thanks to my dad. They are so much sharper to drive. The styling today is best of the Germans. Too many BMWs on U.K. roads which although are great cars, boring to look at, and too common ...every other car is a Ford, Vauxhall(Opel) , or VW. Mercedes are the original German car, they are more expensive, and the classiest overall.. they invented German luxury despite what bmw fan boys say. I love my Mercedes coupe. AMG exhaust always make me smile.

Not in terms of road noise no. When you are in the sports modes with the exhaust on you can hear that but it's obviously enjoyable! 😉

Just 10 extra HP from the 2L 4 cylinders cla 45 amg !

Have you thought about the weight vs engine size vs output

Ok it’s fast it’s loud pop’s and bangs got it. I tuned in for a review of the whole car. What’s new with the infotainment system. Last edition you had to chose MB Maps. Or your phone has that changed. Has the MPG changed with different engine configuration. Etc Etc. Dude you tune into any where on KZread for its fast, pop’s and bangs. Thought you would bring something different. Thank you though

All good feedback. Bearing in mine, filming and editing this took 16 hours as it's just me and one other to help I thought I did a good job. This is a hobby and not a full time job so I did try my best but it's difficult to talk about every aspect of the car.
