I don't understand these kinds of borders. Why don't they have a ferry or special exemption for Point Roberts people? Or better yet, just make it part of Canada. How ridiculous is it to need a passport to enter a section of your own country. Croatians had this problem with Bosnia, and Bosnia finally allowed Croatians to pass through Neum, with just their EU IDs.

Don't know if you touched on this aspect as I haven't finished the video yet, but to me one of the biggest embarrassments, shocks, and something that I believe should be ridiculed and criticized much more by the people, is the fact that the Canadian Government (THE GOVERNMENT THEMSELVES) will not accept payment in cash. Something of which they designated to be legal tender since 1871! And again reaffirmed by the Bank of Canada Act in 1934. So if you don't have a credit card or debit card, you are not allowed a Passport. Baffling. They would rather deal with money coming from Visa, Mastercard, or American Express, than their own money coming from their own people.
I did not notice that, yeah that is very sad that you have to deal with banks to have a passport.
There is also a town strattling the border in the east. One side of the street has Canadian homes and the other side has U.S. homes. The town library is only accessible from the Canadian side as it also straddles the border. Americans stay on the sidewalk to get inside the library.
They need to join an airline alliance because the other two Taiwanese airlines, BR and CI, are in one. If they do join oneworld, you would have gotten this comparison 國泰航空 🇭🇰CX vs 星宇航空 JX🇹🇼

Cool. I started using some other tool online and it was incredibly inadequate compared with this option. Wouldn't have known it is in google rive. Awesome! Or I mean, this is better than a more average tool I was using, and the a advice is slightly better than what I had for myself from my own mind.

I did some digging, that DC-3 is now operating only charter flights and scenic flights, not actual scheduled passenger service that transports people to another place. But it will be cool to check it out though!

during covid it was actually a jail-able offense to go to the park without a passport. Not even driver license would work. so yeah it was bad
I think you were a bit nasty to Thai. Some of the best food I've had (and not just the best food I've had on a plane) was on Thai in economy class. (I do remember them saying something about a special menu for the Queen's birthday though). Admittedly the chicken sausage they have with their breakfast is probably one of the worst things I've been given on a plane to eat. But I would pick Thai (in economy) over BA (in economy) every day of the week, even with the chicken sausage. Do I think they're an A tier airline - probably not, but I think C is a bit low.
You are correct. I flew Thai long haul for the first time recently and was not disappointed. They are...okay, pretty much on par with the rest of the B tier airlines, but it is still more expensive than most other airlines for some reason, so I can bump it to the tail end of B if I refresh this tier list, but honestly it is not crazy good.
@@beyounged It depends very much where you're flying from. i.e. For London, EVA and Thai are now the only direct flights from Heathrow, so for a start, they can charge more just because the flight will be that much faster. But there's also the fact that the UK's air passenger duty goes up with the length of flight, so it's lower tax to have a stop, as then the tax is based on where the stop is. Also, now that Thai has stopped flying A380s, the London flights no longer have as many seats as they used to - so again, they can charge more for the seats they have. From Hong Kong, they look expensive, but that's because you have Emirates and Ethiopian both with stopovers in Bangkok, and selling pretty cheap Hong Kong to Bangkok flights because they fill their economy section on the planes that stop in Bangkok, in Bangkok - as Emirates at least, has direct flights from Hong Kong to Dubai, so people going further pick that flight (unless they didn't bother to check their booking very carefully). And finally - apparently last year, Thai had the highest profit margins of any major airline in the world.
yeah Thailand has surprisingly little competition for its size, so they can rest easy and charge more. No direct flight from US is a huge issue/benefit at the same time. Also it is just super popular. still I rarely fly them because they are too expensive, that takes a toll on my charts.
