"It Means Everything" is the musical embodiement of what wrath is. It's not a subcategory of some form, it's not rage, it's not frustration. *it is pure, unadulterated anger.* that's how Aubrey (failed) coped with this situation. We as humans have two routes we take in response to mental bombardment. Many of us suffer from sadness, which allows us to close in on a shell from others and even ourselves. But others of us have anger. It's closing off from themselves, but also looking at the crimes committed against you and having a burning passion to not let it go. When Aubrey needed someone the most, she felt as though the world just kept turning. She lost someone she dearly loved, but it seemed like the cogs of everyone just kept turning. No matter what she did, she could not shelter that trauma. That ability to not let go. It manifested in the form of anger and her lethal wooden bat. Aubrey was angry.

Sunny is actually pretty quick to anger- the reason The Truth happened was due to him bottling up everything and bad at dealing with frustration; he got sick of the violin lessons and just smashed it down the stairs, with little previous indication of wanting to do so. In the real world, his anger expression is the same as Omori’s furious one. And the constant reiteration in Omo cat’s earlier drawings with Omoriboy “just because I don’t show my emotions doesn’t mean I don’t have any” I take it to be a good clue on what he’s like.

I like to think that Mari was the voice that told sunny to calm down and to persist. It comforts me to think Mari is always watching over him.

I honestly think that Hero would not forgive Sunny initially, but after a long time, thanks to him having time to process it and thanks to Kel, he would forgive him. We know that Hero took time to process Mari's death and although later on the four years is in a good state, when it happenned he was the one who processed it the worst so it makes sense for him to initially not forgive Sunny. I think a year, maybe a little bit less, is what it would take for him to forgive him.

This video should be titled "what if Omori didn't make me/us sad" Edit: I was going to comment on Aubrey losing her drip if the truth never happenned, but it's likely that she would still dye her hair pink, with Mari dying hers purple just like you said. Or maybe not? I know you pointed out that it's said in the dialogue that they agreed on dying their hairs, but maybe Aubrey only actually did it because of Mari dying? Maybe if it wasn't for Mari being gone she wouldn't actually do it? Who knows? Anyways, the rest of the drip would most likely be loss :(

Kel is a role model. Every day for months, he knocked at Sunny's door trying to get him to come out of his shell. Even in this ending, he tried and tried and tried again. he's also the catalyst that leads to Sunny finally going out to face reality and life when Sunny opens the door for him.

One thing you overlooked in the 2014 trailer is how Sunny's room has a lot more things in it, like a TV, a game console, and a more modern laptop. Perhaps Sunny was originally not meant to move out of Faraway at the end?

A sad theory is Sunny was too depressed to take care of Mewo, so she likely passed away from starvation. Remember so much happened in a short time, and Sunny was blocking out anything reminding him of Mari. Plus there’s a scene in Black Space You see a boy burying something in the grass.

Seeing Aubrey being forgiven was a beautiful moment; I await for Sunny's turn. Exodus 34:6-7 And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

I swear the more I think about this guy, the more I realize he's basically me dialed up to a 20. Simply listens during group conversations Avoids speaking whenever possible Disdain of heights Vivid imagination Dearly values friends (though *why* is a bit different in my case) Isolationist tendencies Difficulty feeling, processing, and/or expressing emotion

The stranger says that he was split into the day Sunny became nothing, so it was made along with whitespace. I think the stranger is everything about actual people Sunny locked up in blackspace to hide, personified. That’s why it shows up as silhouette’s of tons of characters. It’s main appearance is Basil because Basil is directly related to the truth.

Do you want a crazy theory? I know what you want... so here it is: the events of Omori take place in both the United States and Japan. "What the heck?" you ask, “The Man in the High Castle” I will answer you. For reference: The Man in the High Castle is an alternate history novel by Philip K. Dick. What exactly happened there? At Stalingrad and Midway, something went wrong... and as a result, the world is divided between two superpowers: the Third Reich and the Empire of Japan. So the events of the game take place on the territory of a puppet state under the control of Japan and the Pacific States of America. The main argument of people who believe that the events of the game take place in Japan is “the Japanese police outside the city are extremely incompetent.” What's here? The PSA does not have its own civilian police and everything is handled by the Kempetai, I am almost 100% sure that the Kempetai will not care about the fact that the girl may not have hanged herself and they will simply be too lazy to understand all this and will simply write it down as suicide. And finally, Marie and Sunny’s family seems to be the richest among their friends (and possibly in all of Faraway), like a computer, a piano, a modern (at that time) TV, a huge backyard. How come they are so rich? They have a Japanese surname (Suzuki). Sunny’s father is Japanese, and Suzuki is an ancient family that dates back to the Sengoku era; it is quite possible that Sunny’s father has a high position in the regional administration and is highly respected.

Have you ever wondered about the character-dynamic between Mari, Basil and Sunny? To put it in a nuthsell, we have Adjustment Disorder poster-girl (Mari), the guy who distorts Maris death (Basil) and the guy who doesn't remember Maris death (Sunny). Like, that's a deadly combo, particularily the relationship between Sunny and Basil being one of the rare cases in which "Folie Áux Deux" actually is a perfectly reasonable diagnosis.
