Hey there, beautiful peeps. My name is Ramsi, and I'm a tad obsessed with cookies. Ok, if I have my own cottage baking business (going on 5 years), it's a little more than "a tad". With this channel, I hope to help others along their baking/decorating journey with example videos, tutorials that teach different techniques, and everything else "cookie"! I may even mix in a little humor because, after all, there is not much better than a good laugh. So, I hope you'll hop on this adventure with me by tuning in and/or subscribing to my channel. HOLLA!

Love the 'Horns comment!😉 So how much icing are you starting out with each color "recipe"? Just trying to get a reference as to how many drops to use say per 1 Ounce or per 1/2 Cup. TIA
This was very helpful! Thank you.
You’re very welcome!
Do you have a cookie recipe
@@euklinrichards7444 this is the recipe I use! Just make sure you read the description for ways you can cater it to your own tastes and preferences. For example, the type of sugar you use changes the texture, etc. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oIl5pbpvfJbMZNY.htmlsi=xSMvoEmEwXmz56bU
So I don’t have to use alcohol at all. I love how your tutorial was. Do you have more with painted. I tried for the first time wish I could show you to get fed back.
@@euklinrichards7444 not if you don’t want to! Water will work, just use it sparingly. 😊 Here is another watercolored whiskey tutorial. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXeX2bygmtGwfpc.htmlsi=yiTqz01vZRr2kuY5
@@homegirlcookies8888 thank you
Why do some people use vodka for this technique if water works just as well?
@@darkwolfkendra4 some prefer Vodka because it dries faster. I like to use water because, when I paint, I don’t want it to dry faster than I can paint my design, lol! It’s just a personal preference!
Thank you thank you thank you. I was looking for this video for months and finally found these colors. I thank you🌹

Thank you so much for this video. You did a great job.
Nice! Thank you! How do you get rid of air bubbles?
Awesome tip! Thanks. How about the air bubbles. How do you get rid of them?
Thank you for this!!! I’m making cookies for a friend’s graduation, and one of their school colors is black
@@brittany1049 you’re very welcome! I bet your grad cookies were awesome!
Thank you
what is the size of the photo you asked for to print?
I’m pretty sure the print was roughly 2.55 in W by 2.80 in H. Hope that helps!
So excited to have found you!
I’m glad you’re here! Thank you!
Great tips, thank you. What size is the cutter you used here?

Thank you for making this video!
You’re very welcome! ☺️
have you done a comparison between using the adhesive strip vs heat sealing in terms of maintaining freshness? thanks!
Sage Green or grey. Thanks for your time you have a gift.
You’re very welcome! If you’re looking for a darker sage green, I would add a little forest green to your avocado/wedgewood mixture. If you’re looking for a more sage gray color, I would add some slate or a SMIDGE (like a pin prick) of black little by little. Hope this helps!
I poke holes or run a wet brush in the there. Thanks for another method.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉thank you
Most of my storage containers for my cookie supplies I use Dollar Tree items.
What a great set up! Thank you for taking the time to share!
My pleasure! Thank you!!
First thing i did when i got this sealer was rip that strip thinking it was one of those protective tapes. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️thankfully i found your video that showed me it was part of it so i opened it and replaced it.
Hi!! Beautiful cookie room setup! Is this kind of setup allowed in order for me to get a business license?,
Thank you!😊
perfectly explained tutorial on consistencies!!! thanks a lot
Glad it was helpful!
This is amazing. You are a color genius!
So happy it helped!! I’m just paying it forward from all the color help I’ve received in the past! 😃
Once flowers are made what's the storage life? How do you store them?😊
Fantastic! Thanks!
You're welcome!
How Long does it Take until it is completely dry?
There are several different factors that can affect the drying process such as climate in your area, etc, but I usually leave my flooded cookies out over night to dry. 😊 The icing acts as a blanket to keep the cookie from drying out, so it’ll be just fine under the air circulation as it dries.
Can I use a vacuum sealer?
I LOVE the cover up on the pumpkin!! Excellent!! Thank you for the video!
You’re very welcome! 😊🎃
You know, I've done this and it STILL got craters. I was so upset because it seems to work so well for everyone else. 😢
So sorry to hear that! Piping over a crusted over base is always the top way to avoid craters, but this has been the second best thing for me, lol! I have to almost destroy the area where I intend to fill in with icing, though, instead of just simply poking a few holes if the base is fully dry. I know it’s frustrating! 😩
Thank you so much I learned a lot. I need to make color sage. I’ll do it
So glad it helped! You are very welcome! 😊
Great info but I'm surprised your cookies stay fresh for a long period. Celo bags are breathable so air gets in them very easily. I use poly bags to avoid that and truly make them airtight.
Glad to hear what works for you! 😊
There is never mistakes just happy little accidents 😊
This made me chuckle!! Haha. You are most definitely correct, lol! 😂😊

Hi !!! great job what is the base of your cranberry color was please it’s amazing !!!and how the orange color is shiny???did u add something on it thc
Thank you! The base is super red with some burgundy and eggplant added in to the mix! I add corn syrup to my icing which helps with the shine, but doesn’t make it incredibly shiny. 😊 Honestly, it might be because it was still a bit wet. However, I think adding the texture to the pumpkin gave it an extra kick for sure! 😊
gorgeous pumpkins , thank you
Thank you! You’re very welcome. 😊
Great video and wonderful information… I shrink everything

awesome tutorial
Yay!! Hope it helped! ❤️
So fun to take a tour of your cookie room! I like the efficient ways you save trips to the kitchen (i.e. the little pot trash can!). Question: Do you bag and heat seal every cookie? If a customer doesn't want their cookies bagged, do you just put one (cottage law) ingredient/info sticker on the box? Love your "homegirl" sign, too! Great room! Lesa (Indiana)
Hey there, Lesa! Thanks for your comment and sweet words! 😊 Outside of any drop cookie I bake with delicate icing (bagging will ruin the icing), I heat seal every single cookie! If I have a customer requesting no packaging, I try my best to talk them into it and stress how much fresher and more protected the cookies will be if sealed. Huge benefits! They always change their mind! I tell them that they can always cut the cookie out of the package when they are ready to be displayed at their event if desired, but they will always leave my hands sealed for freshness. 😊 For the drop cookies with delicate icing I cannot package, I will arrange those in a cute bakery box on top of some grease proof parchment and adhere my label to the bottom of the box. I hope this helps! 😊
Thank you! This was awesome to see how you set everything up. Really appreciate learning from you.
Thank you so much! I love to help where I can! ❤️
Eeek you're in my area! I'm in south Arlington!
Wow! That’s so awesome!! Thanks for the comment, neighbor! ❤️😊
Is it possible to create your design using a silk stencil, then outline your design & flood?
Do you mean, for example, to scrape on “love” using a silk screen stencil, then pipe over it for the puff? You can do that! Just follow the lines carefully as you do the top trace. 😊 However, just in case, I would use the hole poking method before you flood the puff areas to avoid craters. The hole poking method is (now) the second best thing to do to avoid craters, in my opinion. I have an updated crater video I posted a week ago that may help. I’ll try to link it above for you now!
Here you go. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oK2NtpesaLi-m5s.html
@@homegirlcookies8888thank you so much! I'll check put your other video too
I would love to see your whole baking area. Can you do a tour?
You read my mind, lol! My new cookie room is ALMOST finished! Within the next week or so, I’ll post a full tour video that contains more budget friendly storage ideas, etc! Stay tuned! Thanks so much.
Hi! Loved this. One question…have you ever tried poking holes in the one that dried overnight before adding the puffed lettering? I’ve seen it done and I wonder if holes or doing the squiggle line before filling or both would be better? If that makes sense? TIA!
Hello! Thanks so much for the comment. It’s so funny you ask this question, because I JUST uploaded an updated crater video on the hole poking method! It my opinion, it’s now the second best crater preventing method! Obviously, it’s best to pipe details on a crusted base but, when you have to do it on a completely dry base, hole poking is THE way to go. You can find more information on it at the link below to my tutorial. I hope it helps! ❤️ kzread.info/dash/bejne/oK2NtpesaLi-m5s.html
Oh awesome! I will watch now. Thanks so much!
