  Ahh dang looks like you got caught up in the first house for the sims 2, you can actually move on to new houses with completely different settings, themes, and new sims to play as and meet by completing golden wishes. New characters you unlock will have their own stories you’ll need to go through. That’s what the yellow cab sign outside is for is going to different houses

  The console version of the sims games are almost never like the main line games, they do their own thing mostly, but they do it INCREDIBLY well. They all had a lot personality and wacky humor. I believe the only one that actually tried to be like the main games was the sims 1 on consoles, and it was.. not the greatest time. I really recommend and the gameboy and DS games though. They were a trip
