I am a 42 year old woman who struggles to lose weight and am fascinated by other people's lives on KZread, so I decided to create this channel! I am a celiac, a swiftie, lover of cats and the Ravens. Keep me accountable in 2024 to ACTUALLY lose the weight!

Great videos as always! My streak right now is about 211 days and I do obsess over losing it and what that may do to my progress. It would be nice to have that feature a little more flexible 😊
Awww thank you! And congrats on 211 that is amazing!
I am gonna do the pork tomorrow! Thanks Amy!
Ahh I always feel pressure when one of y'all say you are going to make something but in this case I feel good! It is easy and delish! Enjoy! 😁
Oh Amy, I'm so sorry and feel terrible for you. What a rough, heartbreaking time you're going through with both your parents. And I'm sorry that you lost your beautiful tracking streak. The pasta you made and the English muffins pizzas are my kind of food! Thanks for the ideas! They will be my meals for later today. You're lucky to be able to have a garden. I finally gave up after 3 years of the squirrels taking bites out of all my vegetables, no matter how I tried to keep them out of the garden. I'm enjoying watching your videos. I found you tonight and just watched 3 of your videos and yes, I subscribed 😀
Ohhh thank you for being here! And those darn squirrels can be pests sometimes!
I feel for you dealing with sick parents. I am in the same boat. My Mom just had open heart surgery and my Dad has cancer. Hang in there. You are a great daughter. :)
Oh, Danielle I am so sorry to hear this. I will give you the best advice that has been given to me and that is to make sure to take care of yourself as you cannot take care of your sick parents without taking care of yourself. Sending heartfelt prayers for your parents' recovery.
@@lifewithamy2024 great advice. Thanks so much. 🙏🏻
Anytime
Thanks for the tips. As a Celiac I find it so hard to find nutritious snacks for when I'm on the go. I never knew that chomps existed. I used to eat epic bars all of the time but they made me break out. So clearly they were inflaming my body. I'm going to try chomp and see how it goes.
Ohhh I have never had those, but noted to stay away! Lol And yes, try chomps, they are pretty good and clean!
Hi! New to your channel but just wanted to say if you type the nutrition for the skinny dipped peanut butter cups into the app they are actually only 2 points instead of the 4 that they scan 🥰
Oh heck yeah!! Thank you for that tip!! And welcome!🫶
Everything brazzi is amazing🤤🤤
I have been non stop eating the cheesy bread. Lol
I love using large vegetables like that from the garden. My favorite thing to use giant zucchinis for is my aunt’s zucchini soup. It is my favorite soup EVER. Also, I’m a case manager in an emergency room. Since your dad is already hooked up with home health, reach out to them and ask for social worker services. They can help guide you through different steps and resources available in your area. Wish you the best. It is a very difficult spot to be in. ❤
Ahh, thank you for the recipe idea! Unfortunately, this guy spoiled like real fast and I was unable to use it, but will look at that in the future! And THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! We actually have a referral in for a social worker but am still waiting on the phone call :( I appreciate you!
@@lifewithamy2024 I know it can be hard, but if they haven’t reached out in 2-3 days, call to follow up. Sometimes you have to stay on top of it to make sure referrals don’t get missed. 🩵
Thank you!
Coconut oil is perfect for baking, lotion, and hair masks. We go through 2-3 a year. 😊
Ok lotion wise do you just lather on skin as is? I have always heard people using for hair mask but have never tried myself!
Add sugar to the food or extra pepper or salt . Did this with my Dad .
Ohhhhh this is a really great tip. Thank you so much!!
I was my Dads caregiver for his 3 final years . On and off for 5 years .
It's so hard. 🙏
So sorry about your parents . My Mom had dementia and my Dad had kidney disease . My Mom passed away in 2011 and my Dad in 2022.
I am sorry for your loss, but so glad you were there to help them as tough as it was. 🙏 Thank you for sharing
Wow, so sorry to hear about parents that’s a rough journey for sure. When my granny was sick with breast cancer she had zero appetite, sometimes we could get her to drink smoothies or protein shakes but even then it was a struggle. Your veggies look great! My garden has been a bust this year but I was hoping to get some carrots and cucumbers.
Thank you for the kind words and suggestions. We have found one shake that has been working but they both still need more 🙏 ohhh carrot's, are they easy to grow? I would love to try them!
I have tomatoes and peppers and some herbs in my garden.Basil, mint, sage. Caring for aging parents is hard. I lost my Dad in 2017. I care for my mom. She also doesn't eat well. I wish I knew how to get her to eat, too. It's hard.
I am sorry for your loss. And it is so hard! I am sure you have tried Kate Farms shakes? My dad's nutritionist sent and they are liking so far. But it's still not nearly enough
@lifewithamy2024 no I haven't tried them. Thank for the suggestion. So far we have just tried the ensure shakes. But I'll look into theses, thanks.
Hopefully they help!
Cold pasta salad is good to have on hand in the summer time. I do that often.
Ohhh great idea!
I made this for supper last night. Great way to eat a lot of veggies.
I walk 1 morning and 2 early evenings with a friend. I like these videos
Oh yay! I like switching the content up! And that is awesome, I love a good friend walk 🫶
Your human . I didn’t think your video was bad at all .
aww thank you, I appreciate that!!
Hi Amy. I'm sorry about your Dad. I enjoyed your video. I have been at Lifetime for over 20 years. Sometimes maintaining is success. With the challenges you had this month you deserve a "Bravo!. I heard at least two goals you made for the month. 1. Get the key card. 2. Make your Drs. appointments. You are setting yourself up for a good month.
Wow, lifetime for over 20 years is amazing, congratulations! I do hope to get there one day. Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Love seeing the Kitty. So cute. Just recently found your channel.
Awww thank you. I like to use her as my intro each video. Lol
I’m down 2.6 pounds in the last 30 days! A total of 22 pounds since starting WW mid December!
That's amazing, Chrissy! Congratulations!
I lost 1.8 for June and am down 17.6 for the year. July is my most challenging month of the year (I usually call it the month where healthy eating plans go to die) due to every special occasion known to man, but I'm in a better mindset this year than I've ever been. I'm going to take care of the day I'm in, continue to "loose track" special occasion & vacation meals, and end the month not riding the slippery slope I usually experience. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm saying a prayer for your dad!
Mickie that is amazing, congratulations! Are you doing WW? I swear mindset is everything and it sounds like you are in the right place. Thank you for the prayers, it is much appreciated 🙏
@@lifewithamy2024 yes, I rejoined WW in January.
Awesome!
I also have celiac, but unfortunately I react to all cross-reactive grains😩 No rice, oats, quinoa, etc… it definitely makes eating tougher👎
Oh no! I don't know what I would do. Do you eat a lot of potatoes?? Have you found a pasta that you can eat? I feel for ya!
@@lifewithamy2024 cassava pasta has become my go-to now. Potatoes 😩😩 Unfortunately I cannot
No potatoes either? Oh man, I am sorry! And yes, ok Jovial brand has some good cassava flour pasta and siete has the cassava flour tortillas (I just don't know if they add any other flours)
I don’t like grapes one way or the other put them in a bag. I won’t eat them put them in a box. I won’t eat them put them in a clam shell box. I won’t eat them. Yes gluten free shopping is incredibly expensive.
So expensive! And that's a bummer on grapes!
I can’t believe your a ravens fan
Huge ravens fan!!
I’m so relieved to have found your KZread channel! I also have celiac disease but I’m also Type 2 diabetic so it’s been very difficult to manage what I eat to keep my sugar down. As you know, just because foods are gluten free doesn’t mean they’re low in sugar and carbs. I did keto for 2 years and lost 50 lbs and reversed Type 2; but keto got too difficult to manage because it’s such a restrictive lifestyle. So gradually I started reintroducing carbs into my diet and I gained 20 lbs back. I’ve recently joined WW so it’s so helpful to me to see what you’re eating on WW being gluten free. Thank you for sharing this content!
Celiac disease is very hard, I can't imagine also having type 2 with it. We should hopefully be a great program for you to manage as it really is more of a lifestyle. Good luck and I am glad you are here!
Does the Kirkland coconut oil taste like coconut? Ive wanted to try it but I’m unsure on how strong flavor is
It does, but it's light and similar to those on the market in other stores. If you have not had coconut oil, I would maybe buy a smaller version from your local store before Costco massive version. I have coconut oil for a long time. Lol
Did you get your steps in?! Also, where do you get your glasses?
I did not! Lol. It was a shit show of a day. And I got them at Target of all places back in 2015 or so. I just keep changing my prescription out because I love them so much
I love your videos 😊 you’re so fun to watch! I feel the same way about smoothies.. no way I’m counting the fruit in them.
Thank you so much!! And glad you have my back on smoothies! Lol
Here out of empathy for your celiac…research carnivore diet…
Oh I will have to check that out, thank you!
@@lifewithamy2024 you’re welcome! High fat and protein is very healing to the body and the benefits are too great not to share! Best wishes to you!

I don’t have a Costo in my town. I tried WW 2 years ago lost about 12 lbs. I was on for 3 months. I then did keto and carnivore and lost all together 25 lbs. I still have to loose at least 25 more. I am interested in your journey.
Oh wow that is amazing about your weight loss journey! Congratulations! I am sorry about no Costco though, it is the best! Lol. Thanks for following along!
I live in NC also. Grew up here. That is great.
I love NC!!
😊
Thank you!
Book Lovers by Emily Henry is what I’m currently reading and it’s really good
I loved Book Lovers! That was my first Emily Henry book I read 🫶
PMS/my period gets me every month… I just eat and cry until I’m happy 🤣
The worst!!
Great meal ideas! New subscriber and I’m so glad to see these meal, prep type videos!
Thanks for subbing!
Oh Amy, I didn’t realize you had celiac too!! I was diagnosed about 10ish years ago and both my kids are also diagnosed. It was so so so tough 10+ years ago to feed a toddler GFDF! much easier now. Keep making videos, I enjoy them so much ❤😊
I am glad it is getting easier for you and the kids, it is definitely an adjustment. And thank you so much for the kind words 🫶
You are one of my favorite channels❤❤ Love your hauls!! We are GF due to celiac and eat as organic and clean as possible. You make similar choices and it is so fun to see what you buy😊
Oh thank you!
I have the same problem. I'll plan out a healthy meal and decide I don't want it.
Glad to hear I am not alone!
That chicken looked so good!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! It was cooked perfectly. I was pleased. Lol
Thank you for this info
You're welcome!
Great video. It was very informative
Thank you!!
Cooking chicken in the crockpot is my favorite thing to do! I’m making a big pot today 😊
It truly is a lifesaver!
Brush the mushroom only, they are already full of moisture and will soak up even more if you use water to wash them. They then will make your recipe watery.
But do they taste dirty? What kind of brush? And thank you!
I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. Please keep them coming. I also have Celiac and really struggle with what to eat. I desperately need to loose weigh but I don't know where to start. I have a very hart time just sticking to the gluten free diet. I know that it is killing me but I am just lost. I feel so bad all the time. Thanks for the inspiration to hopefully start WW again. I just feel like GF is so high in points.
It is very overwhelming but it does get easier once you learn what you can eat. May I suggest you focus on eating gluten free first and then WW once you have mastered GF, it may take the pressure off. If you have not already, go back and watch my elimination diet videos. It is all about sticking to whole foods but it helps with cravings and hunger. If you can master eating more whole foods, it will greatly help your GF journey. Hope that helps and good luck, you got this!!
I make home made turkey burgers, add an egg and some panko bread crumbs, keeps it moist and from falling apart. Only 4 points a peice if you get the super lean ground turkey. My husband even says he doesn't miss the beef version
Sounds delicious! Great way to lower the points!
I feel so guilty when I go over my points. Its nice to see someone who also goes over and shows us how to bounce back. Thank you
You can't feel guilty! There is no way one day is going to actually mess ya up physically, so don't let it mentally. 🩷
You're doing great and you sound so confident! I am also on WW; I started in January. I've lost 16 pounds for the year and 7.5 inches. After holding steady in April, I lost 3.2 pounds in May. I'm happy with my pace and thrilled with my progress. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Well dang girl, you are doing amazing as well!!! Keep going and thank you so much for the words!
🤣🤣 I loved your cheesecake story! I was craving cheesecake around Mother’s Day and guess what I ate the whole thing! It was delicious and I regret nothing 😊
Lol thank you. And you should have no regrets either!!
I did the same thing .118 at Aldi. Then went to Walmart bought more there and 80 dollars .
Happens to me more than I would like to admit 😂
I do not count blended fruit!!!
Thank you!!
