Here we delve into the various facets of the creative process through reviews, behind the scenes on creative projects, and CREATORSPECTIVE, the series that explores interesting instances of creative development.
Uhh Tim’s political opinions *always* have something to do with the film subject; they’re just so ahead of their time, no one knows what he’s talking about…until it happens to us. So, there’s that.

You're spot on about this being the only medium where the artists can reach that third level of portrayal. It would be akin to a painter painting a painting of a painter painting a painting in that painted painter's unique style of painting. It's like MC Escher but executed properly.

If you haven’t sampled any of the new HEI network content it’s definitely worth buying a months subscription to see everything! HEI network are slow with new content however, so it might not be worth paying monthly.

I saw this movie when it first aired, aged 14. I watched it again about 10 years ago to see if it really was as horrifying as I remembered. It was. The thing about the eighties was we all expected that at any moment, night or day, there would be a flash of light and it would be over. You just learned to live with it. Today, the US and Russia have about 6000 warheads each, 3000 each ready to launch, China has about 500 and the UK and France have around 500 between them. In the mid eighties there were over 60,000 warheads between the US and USSR alone. It wasn't until after the end of the Cold War that we found out how close we actually came to wipeout. As someone else said below (above?), look up Able Archer and Stanislov Petrov on Wikipedia.

They didn't cast current soap actors for this film but they did cast the future Zak Dingle from Emmerdale as one of the council officials in the underground bunker. Also, the doctor in the same bunker, the one who shouts "B******s!", was then playing Friar Tuck in the popular series Robin of Sherwood.
