The WPL metal axle and shaft kits go straight on. The two speed fits or the 370 gearbox from the C74 is a straight swap. I'm not going to bother with metal links on mine unless the plastic ones are a problem. www.wpl-rc.com/products/metal-upgrade-for-4x4?ref=ssa

Does the C64-1 have the same or different stock electronics compared to C54-1? I have multiple issues with C54-1 260 motor.. even with 370 motor , they tend to burn out easily if pushed too hard for crawling. They say it could be the stock electronics not being adequate/optimised Anyways, loved your rig design !

It has upgraded electronics to the C54-1. This board has a built in switchable drag brake.

This one was a pre-release version, the same as you may have seen mentioned by other reviewers. Yes it did suffered the premature thermal cut out - however when it was running the original board I made a simple solder bridge modification to one of the resistors which cured the problem entirely. Customer versions from the official store have an updated board, so this is not an issue for rigs bought from the store after the official release. Mine has now been swapped for a B36-3 board to operate the winch.

Cool, if it does, which is unlikely, you'll need to bridge the contacts of either the R3 or R11 resistor. I did this by laying a leg I cut off of a spare LED next to the resistor (R3 in my case) then soldering across from the original surface mount resistor tabs.

Hi, I need some help with wpl b24. Actually, we turned that on today after one week. It worked but suddenly stopped. Now, it has less or no power, and some smell from motor. It cannot start itself, I rotate the shaft and it starts. Then after ten seconds stops again.

how'd you get the rod out of the housing? I tried to unscrew it from the inside but it just spins

Take the top cap off, then remove the spring. Push the rod all the way up and you will see that it has a cross head screw on the top. hold the plastic mount at the bottom and use a screwdriver to unscrew the rod.

Thanks, that's my own design using PCB standoffs fixed to the axle mounting points and a flat GRP plate with the servo attatched.

@@aeroelastic6736 In that instance the false floor was just glued to the top of the remains of the original servo tray. It gave just enough room for the servo to move up underneath. However on another build I did just cut the original servo tray out completely and stick the esc directly to the top of the steering servo because there was not enough room for the false floor method.

Sorry only just seen this, no not at all. On one I used a cutting disk in a Dremel type rotary tool. On another I have cut along the edge several times lightly with a craft knife to gradually increase the depth of the cut.

am i right that extanded fenders were only on 4wd hilux (so turn signals), So WPL isnt really correct making 2wd with index-1. Like in your picture at 6.00 2wd with thin fenders and triangle turn light with angle at the bottom while on 4WD ( because of extended fenders ) this "triangle's angle looks down"
