Train movies from the 80s & 90s up to present day and now my model railway updates too!
Current freight and passenger operations are covered, but in particular many special workings are featured - such as charter trains, test trains, heritage loco moves, unit drags, and more, including drone footage.
There's several hours of movies from my converted VHS footage from 1986-1997 which features a huge range of 'classic' locos, liveries, and workings - many of which are now consigned to history.
There's also some photo montage selections covering the most notable workings and my favourite shots from the early 2000's.
Also I'm documenting my N Gauge model railway build right from the blank canvas of the first day, with features on track laying, wiring, controls, locos, running sessions, scenery, and more.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my channel, and I hope you enjoy viewing my movies.

Good to see the HST tearing up the midland mainline like they did in the good ol' EMR days!
Some rare and interesting workings on this one mate. CHEERS A LOT
I was up on the bank as well, sat near the tree/bar
Makes me cry looking at that row of Tugs. Loved the class 60 since my days as a young spotter was 60001 Steadfast in test on the MML at Bedford. Great video as always.
I must have seen you on the banking and didn't know it was you. Was busier than normal.
Can't wait to see an 810 Aurora up close and personal through our patch mate
What's with the title? I didn't see anything go wrong... CLICKBAIT TITLE
It's not clickbait if you take the time to read the description. He tells you what went wrong.
@@neilcrawford8303 Nothing wrong at the location though . . . . who cares what happens elsewhere?
@EllieMaes-Grandad It does matter in this context, because what happened elsewhere had an impact on what he went to record at this location.
Any mr deltic15 nice video and nice selection of trains
Can someone tell me what went wrong?
Here's a clue. Read the description for the video. He lists quite comprehensively what went wrong.
@@neilcrawford8303 Nothing went wrong at the location though, that's the point.
those wires are high up
Possibly because there was a level crossing here, closed in the early 1990s after the wires had been strung up.
So it wasn't let's go at Brandon then
Much the same workings but nice to see new liveries. Pity I cant be with you
Hi keith any idea.when you are out again ??.hope you and your boys are OK..that's if you can get out ??😊
Wonderful video. Hope you have a great day. Glad you managed to see at least one intermodal train despite the recent derailment at Felixstowe.
great presentation. love the triple camera work.Miss my lineside visits.
GOING GOWNHILL FAST AINT WE . GOOD VIDEO, NO COMMENTS. things really are changing maie.
Bit of a misnomer...
Nice captures. I saw the Climate Hero in Castle Donington. Not pulling anything. It's just came into a siding slowly, waited ten minutes and reversed out right next to a car park.
Looking good mate, looking forward to seeing the layout progress.
Nice little update. I'm sure that you'll get that point sorted. Sometimes older locos have a larger flange on the wheels which causes shorts on peco points but you've probably checked that. Looking forward to seeing the yard completed cheers Andy
Nice long trains!! Have always enjoyed your full size videos. Wasn't aware you are a modeller too!!
O WOE IS ME. ;;;;;;;;;No comments,
A really good compilation mate DESERVES MORE COMMENTS
Love the pretendolino, and didn't know virgin had class 57s 😮
Ahhh, so thats why theres the occasional Sheds on the old Bilton Rugby-Leamington Spur... so they're filling in that big old deep cement pit with HS2 Spoil?? I did wonder what had been going on down there.....
Love the shunter
When train announcements were done, by real people, not technology.
Used to live close to there. Great memories.
What can I say......SO RARE BUT YOU WERE THERE WITH US YOU SHARE, BIG THANK YOU
Great video. I've always wanted to do one of these driver experiences. But the price kind of puts me off. Although I don't doubt it's worth it.
Salut my friend super train super video subscribe subscribe ...
Very happy memories loved Peterborough and march
excellent
Most enjoyable mate. Bet you felt really good 👍👍
Great stuff Darren. Well done mate
Brilliant Darren loved watching that.
Excellent railway video as always Darren.
Summer Saturdays at this time were just magic, there's hardly anything now., but we still have our holidays in Dawlish, they can't take away the Devon sea wall, or Cockwood harbour. Getting used to the IET's now.
I have driven that loco. some years back at NVR with passengers. Awesome beast! I see MH-R is looking quite senior now. I first encountered Mike at Bedford Depot open day in about 1980 when he allowed me into the cab of 55015 'Tulyar' when he started her up.
Certainly is quite a beast! Even light engine and at the heritage railway 25mph maximum you get a feel of the power - must be awesome at 100mph on the mainline! Looking forward to 'Tulyar' coming back this year.
What was the very last br peak hauled train?..please.
The very last BR one is at the end of this selection, although 45112 did do a special charter run into London St Pancras and back in April 2004.
Fantastic! 😍😍
Thank you. It certainly was!
I drove 19 with a full rake of coaches & observation car on the Great Central 3 years ago---Brilliant, wheel slip & everything !
Now that's even better! I've definitely got the bug for driving locos now, and doing the Great Central Railway is certainly one for the future - and if 55015 has a spell there I'd have to do that!
looks so good! can't wait to go. hopefully taking my great grandad as its his favourite train
It's as good as it looks. If you can do it then I'd certainly recommend it, and even better if you take your Great Grandad.
I’m sad there gone I grew up on one they didn’t deserve there end
The 319s were great units and Thameslink wouldn't be what it is today without them. A shame their conversions to bi-mode and tri-mode didn't really work out.
@@MrDeltic15 exactly
A fantastic treat Darren, I’m very jealous 😮 What a perfect day weather wise too, well done, I’m sure you’re still smiling 👍
Thanks very much. Yes, still smiling and looking back on it, and what a perfect day all round as you say.
Awesome. I hope you enjoyed every second of it. 😀
I absolutely did! Thanks.
@MrDeltic15 Glad to hear that you did. You're welcome. 😀
NICE ONE. I have travelled in a steam loco full length on Mid Hants railway and in the diesel cab on Lamport Railway but never had the urge to drive. Well done you. I look forward to part two.
Thanks Keith. Yep, I've done the NLR cab view too(in a Class 47), but this was my first time driving a diesel loco - and I'm hoping not the last. Part 2 coming up this afternoon!
That looks amazing Darren.
It certainly was. You should treat yourself to doing when when you've retired ;-)
Brilliant experience. Just a shame you don't pull coaches with the family in tow like on the SVR. Still fantastic though
It certainly was. Would be nice with coaches too, and I did look at the SVR one a while back, but it's a bit further for my parents to travel to and film.
Well done.
Thank you.
Terrific mate, one to remember for ever, happy days!
Thanks Dave. One off the bucket list for sure, but I have the feeling more might be on the cards...........
