08629 Drags The Mails, NMT Twice & Freight WCML Trains 2024, DIRFT 1st February
A productive visit to DIRFT capturing 08629 dragging a pair of Royal Mail Class 325s, the Network Rail NMT twice, and a good mix of freight workings during this sunny two hour visit to Nortoft Lane.

The Royal Mail terminal in DIRFT isn’t wired, so the 325’s need to be hauled from and too it.

Thanks. Yes, as already mentioned they need to be dragged the short distance from the Reception Sidings to the Royal Mail Terminal - they used 66s to start, but the 08 has been a regular performer lately.
