I'm glad to see the remark about how David Letterman had Johnny's respect. That means everything

Remember when dave gave jay crap for not going into retirement? I guess starting a talk show after you retire from a talk show is completely different

Kennedy was in the whitehouse and Johnny was the King of '"Late - Night". Myself -- I was exactly 1 year old, having been born on the Sunday Night October 1st 1961 -- the day Maris hit #61 *....!

I really liked David Letterman for many years. Just this morning I viewed an interview he had with Elvis Presley housekeeper where he attempted to belittle the woman. What nerve. Washingy hands of him now.

Still in schock in 2024 that Ricky Gervais and Julia Roberts were not in the Top Ten. By my accounts, 2 of his absolute favorite guests.

When David left. All the late night shows lost their minds and push pro establishment propaganda. They haven’t been funny or entertaining since David’s last show.

I saw What About David Letterman's Final Show so I can tell him you miss one person in my last name Hepp's Family backstory was in the NFL great player to shut up to NOW PLAYING Emmy-Winner Jeff Daniels Talks Netflix’s ‘A Man in with Rich Eisen | Full Interview The Rich Eisen Show So glad this is preserved here. It’s 2024 and I enjoyed watching this all over again. Thank you! 3 months ago Rewatching this today because I miss when television was fun and had quality entertainment 2 months ago Still feels so fresh after so many years. David was the best in his trade. I was in the live audience for one show during my only trip to New York City. It was a great experience. Watching this in 2024 :) David is a legend. 7 years ago Legend says the audience's still clapping 8 months ago This guy was absolutely hysterical and had one of the most unique shows - - I remember partying with friends in the early 90s and watching him - he will be missed and is one of the great pioneers of unique comedy 7 years ago I absolutely loved this show... Watched it every night while Dave was there... I regret never having the chance to go and watch it live... All the best to Dave and his family and my own backstory by Charlie Hepp 6 years ago "What am I gonna do now that I'm retired?" We found out -- he's going to grow one of the most epic beards in history. He was a part of my life in 1999 when studying engineering and failed. Was a kind of light at that time. Thanks, Dave, for 30 years of comedic relief. It's been two years, but I still have no late night to watch. Holy shit the kid's flashback was hilarious. I miss you, Letterman! Home to the best late TV rock performances ever. Have a good one, Dave! What a sad time in television. Craig left, Jon Stewart left, and David left. At least we still have Conan and Colbert. Thumbs up if you like gettin' wasted and watchin' comedy. David Letterman not his is such a kind human being, he reminds me of my own dad who was there he was a fan of the Commanders he played he did he is hiding. from me and my own family was a fan my mom was there on stage come true Could not help me but tear up knowing he is done with the Late Show, I have been watching it since I was a little kid! you're a good man! I wish him and his family good health and a continued great life! Letterman got me through three marriages, and the passing of all my family, wtf do I do now, lol, 's sad but true. Yeah, he taught me to laugh through the hard times, as well as the good. Thank you, David. I used to race home from the graveyard shift to see Dave's morning show.. It got even better on his next 2 shows. But in the end he was harder to watch, seemed angry... But the last of this series was the old Dave we used to know. In 2024 he's back to being a grumpy old guy.

ill never forget that night. it was 10th grade & I turned on Conan like I did every night only to find Conan begging the viewer to turn off his show and go to letterman. the next day was a very emotional day for anyone who grew up in the 80s 90s, I recall my gym teacher the next day with tears in his eyes saying how he can't believe that hell be going to bed that night without letterman. 💔💔

It's 2024, and this last show brought me so many memories. I grew up watching Letterman, and I can't believe it's been eight years since he retired. I miss him so much. But at least we have David on his show called "My next guest, doesn't need introduction." Dave captured the American spirit. Funny, sarcastic, satirical, poignant, and so much more.
