I have bought Luigi's mansion HD and plan on buying Donkey Kong Country Returns HD both with digital vouchers, you really don't lose money doing it like that. Its the individuals choice. In my case I had the 3ds titles for these games but because of disability found playing games on my switch easier plus with Donkey Kong HD you get the additional levels from the 3DS version and you get to play two great games on the big screen and on the small screen when you're on the go, so I see the value in paying a little more. These might be old games but they're good

I can see Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. But some games use bigger carts to store the games. Upscaling DKCR and adding the 3D edition levels and even reprograming any controls from 3DS and Wii. I hate the idea all the games are stuck on Gimmick systems using two screens one a touch screen and motion controls. Plus look at Wolfenstein 2 and the Mega Man Collections would rather pay 60 than have a game that has to download half the game than 40 for half a physical game. I got a PS4 found out physical puts the whole game on the hardrive. Got GTA V it filled almost 500 GB and that was the hardrive I had. I sold my PS4 and am getting a PS4 Pro and an 8tb. I'm sick of cheaper quality for cheaper games. NES World Championship is a bunch of challenge games that are from the NES not the actual games which I'd rather buy a cart with all the full games for 60 than a little bit challenge game for 30 and have to keep an online thing that I renew every year or lose my progress in those games because something comes up I don't have the 20 dollar renew fee because an emergency. I mis the days of Midway Arcade Treasures, Mega Man Anniversary Collection which was all on disc, the Zelda Collectors disc. I'd be more mad at Nintendo Online and Virtual Console. Which you had to pay so much for one game each when you use to buy one disc usually a bulk price of 30 to 40 or even a free preorder bonus and had upwards to 50 or more arcade perfect ports.

I'm guessing they are going to stealth drop the Switch 2 reveal on Christmas day it will be a short video maybe 5 to 10 minutes and at the end they will reveal that Prime 4 will be coming out for both consoles at the same time. and then have a full direct in January going over all the launch titles and going into more detail about what the switch 2 can do.

Why would anyone be looking at the switch and the PS5 and comparing them like comparing the game advance to the PS3? For example we know that the PS3 is more powerful. We know that the gap between the PS5 and the Nintendo switch is big. The performance is very good on the switch. I just think it depends on the game if it’s a game that’s on both PS5 Xbox and the switch then we know the switch is not gonna be as good as the other two. These games were designed with the other two in mind, they don’t take into consideration of the limitations of the switch hardware. There are games on the switch that can run at 60 FPS as we’ve seen with with effort put in such as Metroid prime remastered and no doubt Metroid prime 4. Maybe the switch didn’t impress you Zach when it came out but for me I would’ve been blown away by the witch yes it’s not hyper realistic but so what? I’m impressed by the games on the content of the games like Super Mario Odyssey which impresses me in the eight months after I got it from my switch OLED.

Wild guess and I’ll explain my thinking as I go. And I repeat, just a guess. First, in August, Switch 2 vibes trailer like what we got in October 2016 for the Switch. First, they’ll be getting pressure from third parties and investors to do literally anything. Second, it’ll lessen the amount of questions they get. It’ll also free up third parties to use Gamescom, TGS, and The Game Awards to highlight obvious Switch 2 ports with a generic 2025 release window to hype up more stuff. Third, a vibes trailer can also confirm backward compatibility, which will help the announcement not interfere with holiday software sales. Another thing that makes me think this is the fact that this is one of the few years that Nintendo has nothing currently slated for an August first party release, not even DLC. September Direct, if there is one and it’s a mainline Direct, will focus on some shadowdrops and releases for the first half of 2025. The 2025 section will largely focus on cross-gen releases while hinting at a release date, but not really giving one. Big blowout reveal with official release date getting announced happening sometime between December 30 and January 31. Either to give a surprise close to 2024 OR following a bit of the original Switch timeline. Even if it’s done in 2024, if it’s done that late, it won’t affect the majority of holiday sales and definitely wouldn’t affect the biggest holiday sales (Black Friday and Cyber Week). It’ll also allow retailers to start preorders and building hype into their own marketing leading up to the launch. Release, if it isn’t in March, will still probably be before the end of June. Though my guess is, it will be out by March 7 or March 14 (first or second Friday of the March). It would be cool if it could release on Mario Day, but that’s a Monday and Nintendo launches hardware later in the week.
