Andrew Thron Improvements

Hey Everyone! My name is Andrew and I recently bought a fixer-upper property that I have been renovating completely on my own (no contractors) in true DIY fashion. My channel documents every renovation project I have completed with the hopes of helping others with their own DIY projects!

Looks great - but a lot of work vs installing sheets of T111. I hope it holds up to the weather

Lattice is cute. Lasts about one month then it rots and warps and falls apart. Lattice is great for the box stores. Not so much for the homeowners.

Lattice has it’s place in the garden but I would not use it to conceal anything around my foundation. This is beautiful and will keep out critters.

It does look better than lattice though; especially alternating the boards in width.

Hey, quick question. How do you get the OSB sheet behind the stud wall frame and fixed to the stud frame whilst mainting the gap from the stone wall? My mind is doing gymnastics for something that is probably quite simple. Thanks.

I like your videos and I really like how you have the the cad drawing. I was thinking about trying to find that CAD program that you’re using so I could do the same thing with my shed, I am planning to make. Are you able to tell me which CAD program you are using in your video?

That is a nice shed, I do like the garage door idea, pretty sharp looking and practical. The roof video is good thank you very much, not a roofer or a shed builder but plan on giving it a go this week. Cheers!

Hi, I replaced my front door watching this video and through some trial and error got the job done with my wife helping. Awesome tips and I used the low expansion foam instead of insulation. My issue I managed to work around was my door was almost exactly the height of the rough opening. I had to hammer it into place for it to work, but it did. Is there a way around this? The bottom of the rough opening is concrete and the top has metal bars which cannot be cut. I cannot get a shorter pre-hung door. It is 32" x 80".

Thank you so much. This video provided emense value to me. I am thinking of attempting this to my mobile home. Outside dimensions are 16 by 90 so I believe inside square footage is about 1250 sq ft but haven't taken proper measurements yet. The big thing is drastically different costs of epoxy. I want a good product but fine to buy clear then source color or texture elsewhere and mix it myself. Open to recommendations because from reviews it looked like the rustolium you get what you pay for. I definitely want something that will last. Any advice recommendations products to look into would be greatly appreciated since people on here have thousands of years of wisdom. Thanks!

My cross ts seem a little too long they don't connect into the 2x4 frame. Do I cut part of the end off the cross ts so they fit in? The frame is like 20 years old I just bought the ts, I wanted the 2x2 but ill go with a 2x4 if I have too but I don't think it looks as good.
