So you see that everyone has their own taste. I'm not an Atari fan and didn't grow up with one. And I haven't found beat um ups interesting for years. My top 10 is: 1:Irem, best game In the Hunt. 2:Gaelco 1, best game Aligator Hunt. 3:Jaleco, best game Cybattler. 4:Toadplan 1, best game Truxton. 5:Toadplan 2, best game Hellfire. 6:Gaelco 2, best game Thunder Hoop 2. 7:Data East, best game Chain reaction. 8: Piko, best game Steel force 9 TECHNOS, best game Combat tribes. 10 will be Atari at this point. But I can't bring myself to play those games, so the cart is still neatly sealed on the shelf.

🙂 Thank you for sharing this video. 🙂 I am late for commenting on this but, I shouldn't expect too much from the Evercade version of TR because, the controllers (at the least) in TR 1 & 2, for the control mapping, should be the same as the PS1 version. 🙂 If you are going to get this version of TR, then you should give it a fair chance, by just playing the games and try to enjoy it for the way it is made now.

When you add in 3DS, SNES and NES sales plus PSP and Vita sales then overall you can claim 2 companies have dominated the console market, nobody else is even in the conversation. MS are probably 3rd, a distant 3rd, with Atari and Sega 4th and 5th in whatever order. Unit sales as opposed to cash revenue from hardware sales is always the correct metric to judge the success of a console because the money's in the software, hardware tends to be loss making or very low margin at best. And yeah the start of the 3D era was exciting, remember seeing the trailer for Ocarina at the cinema and hearing the audience audibly gasp. That gen and the N64 was what got me back into gaming in my mid 20s, I had been studying, working and partying (a lot of partying) from the last couple of years of the 80s up to Goldeneye coming out.

In general I agree with you. I also think that Evercade puts too many Piko and Home computer carts on the market, and far too few Arcade carts. I think it's great that Evercade has an eye for the Indie market. But here too I think there is too much quantity instead of quality. I would much rather see games with the quality of Full Void and Xeno Crisis than the games on the Indie heroes carts. Of course there are also exceptions such as Tanzer and Donut Dodo. @@PapaBradLive, that what I’m thinking too. I just can’t see Blaze giving that much for licensing rights. And the Arcade games are the ones I’d prefer lol. Dreamcast was a great console! Unfortunately mine died on me about 7 years ago and I’ve yet to replace it….i really need to👍

I don’t remember where I saw this, but on another channel not too long ago they said Sega was working on a console and it would most likely play IP’s from master system through the Saturn. If that’s in the works it doesn’t seem likely they’d allow someone else to use their games.

There is a "SuperSega" console in the works but I believe the people making it are outside of Sega (kind of like a Retro Bit or Analogue company) though they said they're reaching out to Sega to possibly work together on this console. A few of the KZreadrs I saw discussing this actually thought it was a bad idea for them to reach out to Sega saying this would likely complicate the console but it will be interesting to see. It feels like a console like this would incentivize Sega to re release some games (both carts and CDs) but so far they've shown no desire to do much of anything outside of Sonic stuff.

Those arcade 1up countercades cost 200-250€ here in Germany (turtles,1p for example is 250)

@@dadrising6464 😮😮😮 Holy crap! I only paid $150 for my arcade 1up Marvel vs Capcom countercade (and it has a two player deck on it). My Ms. Pac-Man countercade was only $99. It’s pretty crazy how prices vary around the world. I guess even if you would have ordered one from the U.S, it still would have added up with the shipping costs.

So it's such a weird situation. IF, and that's a huge IF, IF Sega actually agreed to work with Blaze it feels like it would almost certainly come in the form of a console collection based on Genesis games. I'm pretty sure it would be similar to those Genesis collections that keep coming out on all the new consoles (or what's available on the Switch online). It would be nice to see some Master System, Sega CD, Saturn stuff but they just never seem to use that stuff. My real hope (which I also think could be realistic) would be that we get a Sega arcade cart and see some of the games on that came on the Astro City Mini. The arcade versions of Golden Axe, Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder, Space Harrier, Alien Storm, stuff like that would be outstanding! But it just seems so unlikely. Sega, well I don't have a clue what Sega wants to do as they made a big deal at the end of last year that they were returning to their roots with new Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe (and I'm definitely missing at least one more big name) games coming out this year and it's not very surprising there have been no updates to any of those as we approach August.
