When you,re regurgitating a story the Vatican gave you in 1585,you,re still only regurgitating a story. How about studying Sherlock Holmes next, you,ll be able to tell us what the book said about who, what, how, where and when, but its still ONLY A BOOK.

Excuse me sir, I'm really interested with Irish mythology, since I'm an asian, I'm really don't know about this kind of european folklore, I'm really fascinated with all of the story, especially for a maiden warrior whose named Scathach, who is her husband? Is there any literature, article or your own video about the story of her life from her birth until her training with Cu Chulainn? I'm really begging help from you please 🙏

Sandy Dunlop gives a wonderfuly thought provoking outline of the Four Mytological Cycles of Ireland. This short outline should be made more widely available for anyone with an interest in culture and especially Irish culture where the Island's myths can have very important messages for Irish society today #Mythology

Why did you leave out the Ulster Plantation? Why neglect the importance of Irish mythology in re-establishing Irish independence. In an era of mass immigration how will we survive as a nation? Probably not, in spite of what Gaeilgeoirí who are for some strange reason the most enthusiastic about displacement levels of immigration, say.

Not interested in presidents, but very interested in myth - immersed in it in fact. Have already created and performed two shows based on a selection of stories from The Tain. I did not write them down, in order to experience the process of remembering them in the body, in their rhythm, in my mind's eye, in my waking dream-life. A rich and rewarding process.

Perhaps the very idea of "Judaic/Christian" origins is a misnomer. Why not "Judaic/Christian/Islamic" or "Zoroastrian/Judaic/Christian" or "Mithraic"? There's a thought thread regarding "Gov't and religion as a guide to a self-policing society". Throw in Huxley for pharmacea.

How can anyone think that a people’s mytho-history is irrelevant. They must hate themselves and their people. Unhealthy minds. Great portrayal of these great stories.

Early pagan beliefs were deeply rooted in nature and the sacredness of springs/rivers, trees and fellow creatures because they understood on some level that humans were part of the web of the natural world. Abrahamic religions placed humans above natural things and justified the destruction of the natural world for our own use and greed. Humanism has taken that destruction to an even higher level of global proportions. I do not see this is a sustainable or ethical trajectory for humanity - and I think many people agree.
