I feel your pain with all Lightning's fur everywhere!! Our fluffy girl is the same way. I swear to god the fur just materializes out of thin air. I will clean it all up and turn around and there is all new fur just everywhere. :D

I am surprised you got any gravel at all I thought Lalacelle cleaned France out ;) I thought you had more than one entrance to Bailleuil is the other blocked by said fallen tree? well done Phil :) say hello to Lightning :) what if you use a rake mechanism like Amaury from Castle Ten Berghe has take all the weeds out at one time and fill pot holes. It doesn't solve all maintenance ills but some and you are doing great Phil.

Could you fill the gaps between the cobbles with coloured resin? Would that be an easier application than grout?

Hi Phil If I may suggest you already have one Range Rover registered & in good working condition keep it up to spec & really focus on getting your own transit with a tipper for the chateau and other projects. It does not have to be perfect as you have the skill to bring up to spec. Then you can start to upgrade your landscaping equipment. The suggestion that you should let Yannis stay in an apartment for help in the chateau/gardens is also a good one but Billy does seem to keep him pretty busy.

Good video ! SUGGESTION: I keep my drive WEED FREE this way. In a 5 litre sprayer, put 4 liters of cheap white vinaigar, add 200 grams of cheap table salt. Let the salt disolve well. Then add 100 ml of cheap dish soap. There you go, spray the weeds. Results in 24-48 hours if no rain. As I understand it, the vinaigar and salt kill the plant AND roots. The soap helps the concoction drip and evaporate slowly. I think it's better than burning since it also targets the roots. Cheers from Quebec.

Explain to people that it's an ecosystem and you don't just go tearing apart an ecosystem filling it in etcetera as it will not function correctly. Example my grandparents lived on a creek they decided to put a sewer pipe across and fill in the creek and killed all the wildlife all the silk all the problems from their section of the creek that was filled in and redreged caused problems for the whole entire Creek for many many miles all the way to the Willamette River in Milwaukee, Or.

Your chateau has a whole 'nother floor below it in terms of what you believe to be tunnels. At least a whole 'nother 9-12 of your building is underground and could be dug up. Those aren't tunnels, it's a buried floor from the Mud Flood. Research the Mud Flood and follow Tartaria.

Boiling water or simple chlorine bleach (which breaks down to water in sunlight) will kill the moss and weeds on the cobbles and not hurt the wild/moat life, works quicker than vinegar and goes deeper than scorching

Phil, another trick I have seen to help spread the gravel is to not dump all the gravel at once. Keep driving slowly as the gravel flows from the back. It probably works better when you have a larger load.
