This team was never actually good and it was always soft and not ready for the postseason. Said it the entire time their record said they were “good” and nobody listened to me. As a Cubs fan, I have no sympathy for this team or their fan-base. For years SouthSiders(who had limited to no success of their own) always ripped into the history of the NorthSiders and after 2005 would never shut up about it, to the point where they consistently sold shirts with a ringed middle finger giving Cubs fans the bird stating "Hey Cubs Fans, This One's For You!". Seeing this team fall into the fiery pits of hell gives me the greatest comedy act of my lifetime and it be funny as shit if they'd relocate to either Montreal or Nashville. Even with all the issues that plague the city of Chicago, this franchise has always been the biggest embarrassment within The Windy City.

Yeah I expected this one lmao. For as much as the Bears and Blackhawks both deserved their beatings, their on field product wasn't worth 20 minutes of mostly on field/management stuff. Sure the Hawks definitely deserved the OFF-ice plastering they got but the Sox have shat the bed so hard it might just make everybody forget the recent failures of other Chicago teams. Bears went through tentative ownership to get to some hope and maybe better management, looking to unsuck. Cubs got theirs and are potentially in W mode sometime soon. BHawks got a massive fall on ice on top of well deserved bad press, but have, again, hope for the future and a way out. Bulls are an interesting case, with some unstable mediocrity, but many ways out even with poor ownership. Hell the local college teams have had some decent success, or at least some intrigue. The Sox?! None of it. No talent, no will to live, no path out, no intriguing players, no draft potential, no money to *buy* their way out, no fan interest, not even a Cleveland Browns level comedy sketch, just completely fucked. Like there's barely any way to make such a shit team funny in baseball. At least with the Browns you could see it coming and going in real time, game to game. In baseball you don't get that luxury because each game us just another stroke of the shovel down the hole, so you just sit and feel bad. I'm not big on baseball 'til the playoffs but goddamn if I've ever seen a car crash which DOESN'T carry any morbid curiosity to keep watching it'd be these poor bastards. Not religious either but Imma pray for any motherfucker willing to drink their way through this season's games, might clear the planet outta liver transplants solo.

I can't think of a single organizational quality the White Sox are decent at. They suck at scouting, player development, minor league instruction, asset management, team cohesion.... And their solution was to look at the post-championship Royals under Dayton Moore and say "yep, that's the organization I want to emulate". Only reason the Royals are good now is that they got rid of Dayton and brought in a bunch of folks from Cleveland and Tampa to get better at scouting and player development.
