    @@RyanGoutier Hey! Yeah I'm definitely gonna mess around with it soon. I suppose I've been doing it for around 2 years now, which is a shock to myself after thinking about it. I don't think that's any testament to my skill level though, I haven't put in nearly the same hours as I am sure many others have, including you. I have releases on my channel under the release tab and on spotify by the same name. I do have to admit most of the instrumentals are not mine, I find it hard to commit to writing an instrumental a lot when you are trying to relax and just write some lyrics and you lack the confidence to create something you can find in a matter of minutes elsewhere. I got some basic rules I've created for myself when I do sit down and do it though, and I think I'll be figuring out how to incorporate the drum rack into that! I do this all for a downtime fun, publish stuff just to show my friends. But, hey if I'm happy enough with what I do one day, maybe it'd be worth treating it a little more serious. learning a little bit every so often along the way when you land on those gem videos, this is definitely one of them.

    I listened to your tracks and I really like what you are doing! Especially your songs ‘By the bay. I’m excited to hear what you do next and I’m happy that I could help you on your musical journey. I totally get it about wanting to write lyrics in the moment. I feel the same about beat making but I’m trying to learn how to write lyrics instead. So, same but different 😄 and I appreciate the “gem video” comment🙏 If you need help with writing instrumentals, chords and melodies. I have a video for that. @@RyanGoutier just curious... why did you switch from FL. Studio to Ableton Live??? I only use Ableton but I've noticed many EDM producers prefer FL Studio. Not sure why as I have never used it in the past. I find ableton Live a bit overwhelming, especially for newer users but I also appreciate all the features it has and the flexibility it offers, so I think I will stick with it for foreseeable future.

    @@redpillbulgaria-v2.063 Great question, I found that at the time, FL was too limiting and I had reached my learning cap, FL felt too basic, and I needed to change that to keep progressing. What are the best exporting audio settings?

  • @RyanGoutier
    @RyanGoutier6 ай бұрын

    It really depends what you are planning to do with your song. WAV is definitely higher quality but exports a much larger file. Where an mp3 is much smaller. For general usage mp3 is great but if you want you send your song for mastering I would recommend a wav file export then 440k tuning. Exporting with the default settings will be fine for most cases
