    @@RyanGoutier I feel like there's not enough videos on demonstrating and comparing ableton's frequency shifter in general, to show how good it can be for builds/risers. And also contrasting other plugins, how they alter your sound by default and create unwanted dulling and phase shifting.

  • @RyanGoutier

    Hello, did you find the solution? Maybe the track is recording over itself, like over the midi notes. Make sure you specify which you want to record to.

    Great tips and tricks..i have a 2013 i5 Asus windows 8 laptop with 16gig RAM.and 15" screen..Is this good enough for using Ableton live 11? If not, what kind of computer system is recommended and future proof? Im open to mac as well albeit they tend to be quite expensive

  • @RyanGoutier

    @RyanGoutier

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey Chris! Your current laptop should be fine, the only issue is windows 8…window 10 or later is preferred but 16 gigs of ram and i5 is plenty. If you want to upgrade then any newer model Laptop with the same specs or better should do. Even 8gs of ram should be fine. Music production isn’t as demanding as gaming or video production. Are you looking to future proof for music production? Or will you be creating videos/gaming on the laptop?

    What are the best exporting audio settings?

  • @RyanGoutier

    @RyanGoutier

    6 ай бұрын

    It really depends what you are planning to do with your song. WAV is definitely higher quality but exports a much larger file. Where an mp3 is much smaller. For general usage mp3 is great but if you want you send your song for mastering I would recommend a wav file export then 440k tuning. Exporting with the default settings will be fine for most cases

    Thank you for your kind words Steph! You are spot on, I am fully South African. You have good ears! Great for music 😁If you were in CapeTown a long time ago. Where are you living now? 749USD is a lot, so I would only recommend it if you have the disposable cash. Don’t buy it if you need the money. However, I can say that the full version of Ableton has brought me lots of joy over the years.

    @@RyanGoutier ok I'm looking at prices now and I'm in New Zealand although I was born in London and the price is USD 749 that's for Suite and the standard is USD 419 and the intro is USD 109 and I do have the lite which came from a little keyboard I bought way back but yes I do have cyberghost VPN but I don't have euros here ok experiment I'm going to put VPN on Guatemala lol hang on. Ok I had to clear the cookies and things but I took a swift visit to Germany and all of a sudden the price is 599 EUROS for live 11 suite of which is 200 New Zealand dollars cheaper so I mean obviously I can't pay in euros or maybe I can with PayPal I don't know but they do have my address in New Zealand so I'm not quite sure how that works but somehow it doesn't seem fair to me unless it's something to do with tax that you pay I don't know well that's a bit of an eye opener. I'm not sure what I should do now. Maybe put it in a very poor country and buy it there Or maybe just forget it wow thanks for that tip but I'm not sure it would work I will have to Google that one see if anybody else has done it
