    I would like to share with you what I’ve tried for anxiety over the years. I’ve tried: 1-Neurofeedback 2- Taurine supplement 3- Aniracetam supplement 4- Meditation 5- HRV (heart rate variability) training 6- Exercise All those interventions did something to help with anxiety or made it worse but never solved it 100%. Now I’m trying Probiotic for the first time since I’ve heard that balancing your gut biome can help with anxiety. I believe people with chronic anxiety must continue the quest of trying all different methods and see what works for them. Also sometimes it could be a combination of those interventions. I’m on a mission to crack the code for anxiety relief for good, once I have achieved a significant success in anxiety relief I wish to setup a KZread channel or some platform to share with the world and help people relief their suffering.

    I love these book reviews, they are so interesting to listen to. Interesting mix of titles, from Flagg to Huxley and back. Kudos for tackling books that don’t appear on Goodreads or are not in the Barnes and Noble top 10. Reading is such an adventure! It’s a journey you take with the author. Carl Jung is a tough slog. May I suggest Sigmund Freud, Interpretation of Dreams. Not a lighthearted read, but interesting. Thanks for sharing! Best to Julio and Leaf.

    I watched another video before this and the creator showed some exercises you can do to stimulate the vagus nerve. I am a bit conflicted by this product - because the results are there for the people who benefit from it, however it may be financially out of reach. It's 700 Euro for me and even with a 30day money back guarantee, it's too much for me. I don't want fancy RGB lights, minigames to play during the session, or unique materials. But this doesn't give me a 700 euro experience. I can only guess the money is used to fund research, because I doubt it costs them over 50 dollars to produce this device. Unfortunately, there's a high chance this device stays out of reach for a lot of people. Disclaimer: I was looking into this to improve my general health and mind. I don't have any long covid, POTS, or other conditions that this device is helpful towards.

Another bigger city with a mall called El paseo (about 20min). Lastly, there’s Cadiz (30-40min), which is very densely populated with lots of stores, a mall, etc. Movies and churches and parks are in all three. Thanks for giving me these "don'ts".... I just adopted a Whippet. He is 7 years old and his previous owner died. So yes I noticed he is clingy. Loves to give kisses. He is extremely affectionate. I was wondering why he ever smiled. He is a good bedmate, often sneaking into bed after I'm in bed and when the lights go out. He is a very gentle soul. I just love him. I have only had him 3 weeks, but I am really working on having him be able to stay home alone. Oh, I forgot to mention, he growls like yours does, whenever anyone passes my door, he growls and might even let a bark out. However it appears that if he can see the person, he might even back away. Now we’re back in the states and are excited to experience life in the south. Unfortunately Birmingham is a very devided city in terms of wealth. That means that you will either spend a fortune on living in the “fancy” areas of town, or you will have to live in very high crime neighborhoods. Birmingham is actually in the top 3 most dangerous cities in the U.S. with lots of gun violence, etc. so I find it very hard to generalize the cost of living here. Since we live in a very nice neighborhood, we have to pay the premium for it too.

    I agree the cultural shock must be huge you should prefer the cultural aspects to a country were people just live to work, rush all the time, need to wear arms to defend themselves, high rates of violence, even police, poor transport infrastucture, huge number of homeless and poor people dont have even medical attencion. I would prefer the small inconveniences, for you, in Spain that in US where you dont sleep at night because you hear shootings at the street or children that needs to stay indoors always because playing at the street is too dangerous.

I dont really understand what is the point to have this video to critize the town that is hosting you. Clearly you dislike the culture. I tell you that you are speaking as if you knew Spain when you just know a small town, will you expect much more from a small town in Germany or US? You think prices in Germany or US are the same in a main city that in a small town? Clearly your cultural level is very poor. If you pay cheap prices you get what you get 🤷.

    On the Nurosym website they give detailed instructions, incl this..."Continue using Nurosym every day for 30-60 mins a day, preferably in the morning or split between morning after waking up and evening before sleep and enjoy better health & mood." It is such a shame it hasn't worked for you, but I am confused why you found different instructions.

  • @fionasengpiel1469
    @fionasengpiel14692 ай бұрын

    The instructions say very clearly that you should use it for 60 minutes a day, 30 in the morning, 30 in the evening. You say you used it for 20 minutes... if you review something, you should read the instructions and use it as recommended to give a fair experience.

  • @miajulio1702
    @miajulio17022 ай бұрын

    The instructions included in the box didn’t mention any time recommendation. I read through the very short pamphlet several times to get it right. After watching as many videos as I could find about the nurosym, 20 minutes kept coming up over and over again. I did 2 20 minute sessions a day for a month. I believe that I gave it a fair chance. I also really wanted it to work, I believed in it, so I was in a great starting place to feel positive effects from it, even if just placebo. Like I mentioned in the video, I couldn’t feel any improvement after all. And that was just my personal experience.

    As a reinforcement of Mia's comment; nowhere in the instructions does it say any recommendation for time. There is a mention on intensity, where the manual clearly points out that the user needs to find an intensity that is comfortable and not painful. (Page 5 of 27) As for their FAQ on the website: /pages/d01 "How long should I use Nurosym each day for optimal results? We recommend using Nurosym for 1 hour each day, however, benefits can be seen with as little as 15 minutes of use."

  • @silviak6728
    @silviak672846 минут бұрын

    If you use the little manual to set up the device, it does say to set it to 60 minutes. The reason they recommend 60 minutes is that all their testing was done on 60 minutes per day. That said, on their website they say you can do 30-60 minutes per day, either in one session or two. They recommend the morning, after waking up. At least I found one Nurosym response on their KZread channel that says that 60 minutes is ideal. and that one could try going up to 90 minutes, but they don't recommend any more than that because it can result in overstimulation. I would say it's advisable to do the amount of time on which they did their testing. I've just gotten mine and will use it for that time length because I want to match their testing time.

    I’m so sorry for your loss! Whippets and greyhounds are really very similar. Ive also heard that whippets are a bit more energetic, but it’s hard to tell for me. Our whippet is still very young, so he’s extremely playful and nervous around other dogs. At home, however, he sleeps all day. The many greyhounds in our area are all over 10 years old already, so they are naturally a lot calmer because of their age. Some of them still act a bit playful around our whippet though. I’m sorry I can’t give you a definitive answer on this one. In the end it also depends on the dog’s personality. Our whippet is generally more shy and reserved.

    Very similar to greyhounds in character, and I wouldn't really say any more energetic - my Matty is certainly not hyper. Get yourself a whippet, you won't regret it!

    @@Whippetinthewoods thanks for the advise. Being a senior, I was concerned about having a dog that might be a bit too high energy for me. Good to hear that your sweetie is chill😀

    Do you have problems getting mail to your house or to base? I am in another country for the navy and our mail has to go to base, is that not the case there?

    The mail problem is only off base! We live off base and order through Spanish and other European online stores, you don’t have to order anything through base if you don’t want to, unless you live in base housing. On base is an American PO Box, so you can order from US stores and that was never an issue. Most of the time it’s pretty quick too (around one week for most orders).

    Thanks! But if family want to send something can they send to the base or do we only get a PO Box if we live on base?

    Would it be doable to be a vegetarian in Rota? Or do all the restaurants mainly serve pork?

  • @miajulio1702

    Hey! @erinmosey3439 i am vegan, and we’ve lived in Rota for 3 years now. It’s definitetly possible, but not super common. I made a video about eating out here: A full day of eating out in Rota Spain | vegan food in Rota | what’s it like to eat out in Spain kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXVnlLSGqdDFitI.html . There are some restaurants that offer vegetarian and vegan options. Other restaurants that aren’t mentioned in the video are: Azúcar de Cuba, la Palma pizzeria, la Silla azul. Those all have very good food options.

    Thanks so much! Since you say you are vegan and from Germany, I now have to ask what about there? I’ve always wanted to go and maybe be stationed there but I do like to eat out. Do they cater to non meat eaters? I always assumed menus would be all meat there

    @@erinmosey3439 I am from Berlin which is basically the vegan capital of the world 😅 but everywhere in Germany you can find plant based options, no matter which restaurant you go to.
