  This song would play in the part of one of my stories when the characters realize that they might be fighting their last battle. They're broken and bruised, blood pooling from their bodies. Their eyes struggling to stay open, their breathing labored. All they can see is their lives flashing before their very eyes, all the good and bad memories, all the tears being shed, all the laughs they shared, all the pain they've been through. But then, they're saved by the antagonists henchmen, and they get to live another day.

  This makes me think of the story of a farm boy who is living life’s ups and downs, and then the transition at 2:00 and after makes me think of a villlain watching him, until the farm boy faces the villain, they fight and eventually near the end the farm boy helps the villain, who’s just a lost guy, find himself and they both go their separate ways and keep living their lives as we see a flash forward of their happy lives.   I like how it tells similar story as "What once was", but dying signal is completely different. "What once was" is more nostalgic, calm, fairytale'ish. But "Dying signal" is like last cry, desperate scream for help, which obviously no one could hear. I freaking love it
