Americana at its finest. Don’t get much better than this. It’s a big country and it’s good for your soul to leave the city

I wonder if he understood, as a young man writing a song about a tragic genius from a century before, just how this song would literally resonate and still be relevant half century later.

This song has so much depth, it echoed through my house in the 70's forever reminding me of my brother. RIP Jimbo. Thank you Don, some songs are so much more.

Don McLean's music is something I've always loved. This horrible song needs to go in the ground with that criminal. Don make better music or no music.

I've Never Been To Me). Parabens pela linda postagem.

Don, you have composed many great tunes throughout many decades. But this canonization of a criminal is disengenuous liberal drivel. George Flyd was a career criminal who made many people victims of his lawlessness. This song proves your naivete in fully understanding this situation.. Vincent was a misunderstood genius, George Floyd was a felon with no conscience.

I was alright for a while, I could smile for a while Then I saw you last night, you held my hand so tight When you stopped to say, "Hello" You wished me well, you couldn't tell That I'd been crying over you Crying over you then you said, "So long" Left me standing all alone Alone and crying, Crying, crying, crying It's hard to understand That the touch of your hand Can start me crying I thought that I was over you But it's true, so true I love you even more than I did before But darling what can I do? For you don't love me and I'll always be Crying over you Crying over you Yes, now you're gone And from this moment on I'll be crying, crying, crying, crying, Crying, crying, over you

George floyd is a terrible person but people were sad about his death and I get it they were probably a lot of family members who loved but what about all the people he hurt and killed what about those people family what about the people who sacrificed there life for other people everyday George Floyd is a terrible person and deserves no respect.

I don't care what is true or untrue about George, or what is good or bad, right or wrong in music, but if you think it's okay for the cops to execute anybody at the roadside, then you have a turd inside your skull.
