I always look forward to hearing “Crossroads” in Don’s concerts. Never the same, yet all to perfection. Tony does an outstanding job with his amazing talented fingers. Bravo!!!
One of my absolute favorites. Such a regret I have. My dad and I were going to see you several years ago but I went to a wedding instead. My dad died in December and I wish we would have gone together. 🥺
even he is famous ,he is one of the most underratet songwriters in the world.american pie is great,but he made so many great wonderful songs that go deep in the soul and show us what we may have lost or forgotten,didnt do what we should have done or did do whe shouldnt have

Beautiful words and tune. I was in Spain on holiday when American Pie was released. I kept on playing it on the juke box there. When it came to the words “ the father, son and the Holy Ghost they were blanked out. I had to wait until I got home to find what the missing words were.
I am still mourning over not getting to see you in EPCOT during Covid. I had even bought a dinner package. Was hoping you would sing Vincent. You are a musical and poetic master.

Crossroads is one of the most overlooked songs in history. For me, this is better than American Pie, even though that song is also a classic.

If you removed "American Pie" from the album "American Pie" it would still be one of the greatest albums of all time.
One of my favorite songs, however Mr. Migliore draws too much attention to his accompaniment. I prefer just a minimal set of chords with an increase to the last verse.
