    Hi, I notice he has stiff/awkward arms. Have you ever encountered anyone with this and how do you provide cues or drills to help him realize his arms are important and use his arms more?

  • @KingSports
    @KingSports2 ай бұрын

    This drill is meant to exaggerate the running form, so it will look a little awkward. We use a couple cues to help with arms. 1. We like to say "carry the egg, but don't break it." This means to act like you are holding an egg, but not with a fist. It can relax the hands a bit. Almost like your are about to flip a coin with your thumb and index finger. 2. "Thumbs through the belt loop" This will help keep the arms going in the right direction and bringing the elbow back far enough for your thumbs to go through where a belt loop would be. Hope that helps!

  • @KingSports
    @KingSports Жыл бұрын

    Your choice, but early on do more reps. while you master them. Once my athletes are proficient I move quickly. I typically doing 2 reps. each direction per drill. I group the drills based on similarity, 3 cones, 4, etc.
