I have same model Tank Link to where I can buy thank you
@@nhathuynh1574 first link is the y fitting. Second is one option - flare nozzles. For a little more money, you could go with random flow nozzles - the third link www.bulkreefsupply.com/loc-line-y-fitting.html?queryID=527cb46de87457e562729ed43fb55ff5&objectID=1709&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products www.bulkreefsupply.com/loc-line-flare-nozzle.html?queryID=527cb46de87457e562729ed43fb55ff5&objectID=1699&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products www.bulkreefsupply.com/random-flow-generators-for-loc-line-vivid-creative-aquatics.html?queryID=527cb46de87457e562729ed43fb55ff5&objectID=7132&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products
@@Saltyrootsjax thank you 🙏
Haha! I love the dramatic music when the truck pulls up. I agree it really is the best feeling to see the truck pull up to your house!
@@CorgisWineAndNails haha I was cracking myself up with that music but your right, it really is how it feels. Especially when it’s the actual WB truck and not FedEx.
I enjoyed your transfer method. Did you throw away the live rocks that you broke in half at the end?
@@boosterman7023 No, I have a big tub of extra rock. Used that for the new tank. Let the old rock dry out then put it into the tub.
They did come back or something like Dyno or other took it place??
@@francescodivincenzo5765 nope! They didn’t come back. I think chemi clean works very well. While general advice will tell you to find the cause of the cyano, I personally don’t think we know enough about it to really be able to pinpoint the real cause, so just take care of it and move on!
@@Saltyrootsjax how your No3 and Po4 level?
So, I just did the modification, and it made a huge difference. Thanks again for the video!
That’s great! Makes such a difference to have a quiet tank.
Thank you very much. I have the same issue. I was able to get about 1/2 inch of pipe onto the overflow, still under the output pipe, but of course it's done nothing. Going to follow your lead. $10k for this type of issue is unacceptable but stuck now. Anyway, thanks again!
Awesome video! Thanks for posting this. It makes things look pretty easy; I'd been hesitant to open up the Trident unit itself (besides just what can be reached through the front door compartment.)
I’m sorry, but this is unacceptable. For the price of these aquariums there’s no way in hell you should have to deal with this. This should have been dealt with at the factory.
I have a Waterbox Infinia 230.6. 10k and have the same issue. It's infuriating. I agree with you completely.
Any tips for installing the rebound kit? I can’t seem to figure out the installation of them.
Excellent video!! I'm going to do the exact same thing on my WB 150.4 just to remove the "tricking" from the OF teeth. I also just noticed something else, the e-drain is a bit too close to these OF teeth letting some water "spray" up into the top of the e-drain. Your HACK will solve both problems and allow a trickle of the e-drain to not drop so far (due to the 45's) and decrease those sounds too. Well done :)
Thank you and good luck!
Is it still skimming surface good?
So far so good. No oil slick look at the surface.
Where do you live in Florida?
Saint Augustine
Where did you find the extenders?? If you don't mind sharing the source
These are the pieces I used: a.co/d/iITq322
I know of a few things that you can get for getting out all of the water and it's just a good tool to have for whatever it may be ? what it is GOOGLE MILWAUKEE AIR-TIP 1 - 1/4 in. 2 - 1/2 in. Wet/ Dry Shop Vac Long Reach set ...... You could also get a dryer vent attachment for less than $10 and then always have a lint free happy Dryer. What alot of people will do is make it using PVC parts , and then different hoses etc. using a heat gun to shrink or expand in order to get it to work. GOOGLE Images to see what some examples of people who might have been breathing in some heat gun fumes lol😮
awesome video! Thanks for sharing and look forward to part 3, 4. Question: Lifting the tank on to the stand, was you and your wife/2 people enough? Was ensuring the tank was level once on the stand challenging? Thanks!!
I had two neighbors help lift the stand, and we definitely needed all three of us. The stand has leveling feet so I spent a fair amount of time getting that perfectly level before the tank was on. Once the tank was on it was also level.
👏👏👏👏👌✌️
What did you pick up?
Two stuffed octopuses and two balloon animals lol. We happened to be in Orlando for another event that day. By the time we left that it was late and we needed to get back home so we just stopped very briefly so I could see it and film some of it so and our daughters were the only ones that got something!
@@Saltyrootsjax kids come first, I get it. But with money in my pocket and to be at RAP, i don’t think I could have left empty handed lol
May still wanna let water trickle down that emergency drain.. otherwise you will get surface scrim buildup on the overflow.. a trickle shouldn’t make too much noise. Nice work stuff like this are lessons worth sharing for people starting their build off 🫡🤝🏾
Those are 40mm 45’s right?
Correct. These - a.co/d/9SNIs7m
What return pump are you using? I have same tank but peninsula the 6025 and I have been trying to quiet things down and have 3 areas creating noise 1 the return overflow weirs which after watching your video I ordered the fittings, so that will resolve that #2 the weirs in sump going from refugium to protein skimmer chamber, they water fall slightly at 600gph making a trickle noise, and 3 return pump sicce sdc 9 makes a pretty noticeable hum? Wondering if you have sump noise and what return pump are you using and how loud is it?
@@martinkester3501 I run the Maxspect Jump series on this tank. It’s turned way down but it’s virtually silent. Here is a link to them: www.maxspect.com/en/jump-series/602-mj-dc-pump.html I also use these pads under pumps, skimmers, etc and they definitely help with the humming noise: a.co/d/38C7Fsz
Is it still skimming surface ok?
I wish my tank was silent like this! I plumbed it myself and with a slightly older mp40’s, there’s quite a bit of noise..
Why would you need to drill? Why not just submerge the tube?
You could make that work! You would just need to find a way to keep the tubing at the bottom as if it floated up, the siphon would break and no water would flow. Drilling this way and using a push connect fitting for the tube is just more reliable in my opinion.
They also test the tanks more than a month before shipping. And cleanup to looking new and ships.
What kind of main pump you using
Neptune COR15 on this
You would have gotten a far more natural look simply stacking the reef rock the rods and configuration make it look very artificial but the setup is nice man
When the coral grows out it will probably look far more natural than a pile of stacked rocks.
Thanks for sharing 🙌💯🔥👏
At 1:06, how are you able to keep the trident lower than the sump? I thought you're suppose to keep it higher so it doesn't create a siphon
Ideally, you are right, that would be best practice. However, as long as it is running continuously and the tubing does not come disconnected, it should be okay. I’m working with very limited space so I don’t have much of a choice. But again, if you have the option, best practice would be to have it higher up.
informative video, good work. thanks!
I love following your build! 8:30 How many 5 gallon jugs did you have to carry? That looks like a decent workout lol
Thank you, I really appreciate that! By the end it was 18 of those jugs. One of these days I will either do auto water changes or something a little more efficient.
It happens bro. Better not than later. The tank is coming along! Looking forward to seeing what you can do with this tank!!
sooner or later, ur cat might accidently fell in ur tank😵, need to put something block it from jumping around
need part 3
Working on it now!
salifert po4 test is not that accurate, might still need hanna to test po4.. my salifert po4 test points my tank po4's at zero, but hanna test shows 0.1😵💫
Yikes! I believe my issue is probably algae. I have quite a bit of bubble algae that I’m sure is holding most of the po4 making the test read zero. Once I get that cleared up, I’ll try a new test kit brand. Thanks for the advice!
I had my Trident all boxed up and ready to send in for a service/repair due to this issue. I found flushing the water intake from the main manifold resolved the issue! All connected and working fine! Thanks for the video!
So happy I could help and hopefully save you a few bucks!
@@Saltyrootsjax yep, definitely. Like I said; I’d performed the shutdown procedure and packed it in its box ready to go in for the repair. I was even considering buying a replacement during the downtime! 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
Just got my Infinia Reef 150.4 on Friday and they sent the wrong stand 🥲 Waiting until Monday to talk to them has been torture
My stand had a scratch on one of the door panels. They sent me a new one with practically no questions asked. Their customer service is top notch!
Very nice tank bro. I have the 4’ frag from WB as well.. clean and modern tank ! Btw looking at the spot your tank is in, you might think about leaving at least 6” gap in the back to run wires and or access / pickup things that may fall back there. I have mine roughly 6” and I got a UV hidden back there. Also, I dumped their Ato reservoir as it’s not big enough and the evaporation is bad. So I got the Innovative Marine 15gal reservoir that sits on the side that lasts a week. Congrats on the upgrade bro cheers !
Thank you! Good call and I definitely did leave a fair amount of space on the back and that has helped with wires and equipment for sure. I did use the WB ATO and have noticed the evaporation rate but the bigger problem for me is size of the tank. As you can see, I have no space to the left or right of the display so no room for equipment outside of the cabinet. I may switch to a smaller/more compact ATO tank to free up more space in the cabinet.
Redsea I coming out with a 5/10gal reservoirs. They are super slim and it’s called Reefcan which you can preorder now. I think $100 for the 10gal.. imo isn’t bad for the dimension. They have slim water storage containers for off road / rv that way more than 100 bux.
Off to a good start bro. Very nice set up so far! What’s the plan for the tank? And you have a real nice house bro. Doin big things!
Thanks, Mike! Likely mixed reef but mostly SPS.
@@Saltyrootsjax ya that’s the plan for most of us. It should be a nice tank! Looking forward to watching the progression!
That's an amazing location for the aquarium! You have direct access and view of the top from the opening behind.
Nice man 👌
Congratulations bud! Definitely best feeling in the world 🙌🔥💯✌️
Congratulations to the new tank! Perfect timing as I'm thinking of order a 190.5 myself. Looking forward to the next video.
😃
It’s great feeling, mine was delivered first week of January. Looking forward to the build 👍🏽
Nice video thanks Can you use dr tims with fish and corals ? Thanks
Yep! Just make sure you follow the instructions closely.
@@Saltyrootsjax thanks
I’m dealing with the same thing brother. 23 nitrates and 0 phosphates. I started feeding a more and added reef roids to my food. I read it’s heavy on phosphates. Today is day 1 so I’ll give it a few days and test. Fingers crossed!
Let me know how it goes!
After day 2 of feeding in the morning and once again at night with frozen and reef roids. Tested .006 with the Hanna checker. It’s not much but it’s a reading. Been getting 0 for a couple weeks now. It’s moving in the right direction!

Very helpful. Thank you
It's easy to do these when your all alone ,but when ur with your family all this doesn't make sense to anyone.
Can you please drop the link? I have the same tank. And would like to swap out the return nozzle as well. Thanks in advance!
@Jesus06645 These are the parts I ordered. 1/2" for both. 1 Y fitting and two nozzles. www.bulkreefsupply.com/loc-line-y-fitting.html?queryID=a9ef81097f5252aa4b2c9914af585946&objectID=1709&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products www.bulkreefsupply.com/loc-line-flare-nozzle.html?queryID=935dbf58cac465369168a3a6c426649b&objectID=1699&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products
