Though I don’t like some of the english VA’s even I don’t wholly blame them. Much of that rests onthe ADR director. Yes the age is also something to consider as well. Edit: some cringy but funny dubs would be shows dubbed by Manga UK entertainment for the creative use of cursing. Violence Jack, Angel Cop, and Mad Bull 34 comes to mind. Shows are definitely not suitable for youngsters and not because of their choices in cuss words. Violence/gore, nudity/SA are the main culprits.
@@jeebay5188 oh I don't blame the show or their voice actors at all honestly! I know this is basically all on the lazy studios that dealt with the dub. It's just highly infuriating 😂
There’s a reason why I asked my parents to buy the whole Cardcaptor Sakura series box set on EBay back in 2005. Japanese with English subs.

Super sub dude as well. Although, there are some good dubs. Many anything with Steve Blum. And surprisingly a lot of Ocean Dubs.
I generally watch dub so I can do something while having background noise, honestly. I've seen really good dub anime such as Code Geass, beastars, cowboy bebop, steins;gate and others that dont come to mind. I just don't get the subs vs dubs argument. Let people be people lol. Does it affect your life if they watch dub? No? Okay then, let them be lmao 5:05 dude sounded stoned af
That's what I mean. Like I'm not gonna judge someone for watching dub if it's easier for them to follow. It's just not for me personally! But some dubs absolutely blow and it makes me simultaneously laugh and cringe angrily 😂
Im dyslexic but i still watch subbed, i permanently switched when instarted one piece cause i didnt trust old subbs and because there were more episodes
@@L4g__ I prefer subbed! Like honestly it just feels better to me! My partner is dyslexic as well but she also watches subbed. She's heavily against English dubs 😂
@@doxyanimethere are very few good dubs, i was lucky to start with death note and FMA:B which were pretty good. Black Lagoon also has a decent dub too as does Cyberpunk edgerunners but sub feels better normally for sure
@@L4g__ yeah theres definitely some good dubs out there! like FMA is famously a very good dub, and death note is very much acceptable, but then you see things like one piece and i just shudder horribly lol

The blackbeard scene in jaya is one of my favourites due to showibg how they are two sides of the same coin. Additionally the line "dreams never end" sounds similar but is subtlely different to Luffy's ideal is something that i love

Would've been perfect if Gen 5 is no.1 to be quite honest. 4 got real issues (slow game, bad pokemon distribution, etc) and is mostly carried by HG/SS; Gen 5's "issues" are very subjective, otherwise it's practically almost a perfect generation with better stories and mechanics than other gens to boot.
@@shira_yone oh I 100% agree that's why it was such a hard toss up between the top 3! I just think platinum sorted a lot of the issues from D/P and it's the game I remember most fondly, then you add in HG/SS and it just snuck top spot by a hair
@@doxyanime it is fixed yes, but when we consider the whole overall generation D/P shouldn't be pushed aside is my thought process there. It tarnished the generation and thus should bring it down a peg. Holistically, perhaps I would even put Gen 3 as no.2 considering how strong Emerald and FR/LG is with R/S being somewhat okay.

The thing about Beastars and the deer guy (English isn't my first language, sorry) being forced to eat meat is, that some herbivores are opportunistic carnivores, like deer, horses, cows etc. It was displayed much more distressing then it would've been for a deer.

@@doxyanime no, there wasn't any scene that was really gross. Especially the one from Beastars. There are way more gory anime out there, like elfenlied or berserk.

The ending of school days comes up when talking about disgusting. Also pupa... do not watch that. It's genuinely one of the worst things I've seen. Also loveless from a morally perspective of disgusting. There could have been better shows used but I doubt any sane human would watch the shows I mentioned
