Sorry I missed the live stream. I’ve been really busy fixing air conditioners in this heat.. my opinion XP is the most stable running machine. It doesn’t false every other swing like some of the other machines out there where are you? You have to stop every 10 seconds chasing blips etc.. I have a feeling if they were to make the changes necessary, it would make the machine more unstable. I do wish they could find some type of middle ground with vdi improvement in co- located iron situations. I’m very happy to hear about the upcoming products👌🏼

Calabash, Read this little Manticore trick. I have more time with the Manticore lately than my Deus 2. Actually several hundred hours with Manticore. I have learned that a US silver coin at 87 to 92 when in the ground with bent rusty iron nails will give a great mid tone sometimes high tone but sometimes in only one sweep angle. And the tdi number will be lowered by the Manticore to a 46 to 49 when with iron. And there is a trick to help with this and the sound with the Manticore. Here it is. We sweep side to side normally. Then turn 90 degrees or just keep sweeping side to side left to right and work your way around the target. BUT TRY THIS - Standing at the best spot that gives the best signal on the target now sweep CORNER TO CORNER. Or an X So you will be holding the detector as you would to sweep side to side but instead you will push it at an angle out from you from corner to corner. Let me try to explain this a couple ways. Holding the Manticore straight out like you are going to sweep side to side. Draw a large box in your mind around the target. About the size of your shoulders wide and tall. Bring the coil in towards the corner of the box near your right foot, now move the coil towards the upper left corner of that box. Sweep corner to corner. Keeping the front of the coil straight ahead. Its awkward to do. You can also go left foot to upper right corner. So its kinda a pushing and pulling motion from upper corners to opposite bottom corners. So creating an X With the coil. Just make sure you are doing the push out at an angle motion. Dont just turn the machine and sweep side to side. Another way to explain this is you have a compass on the ground with the target dead in the middle of the North-South lay line and then West-East lay line. The target you have pinpointed and those lines in your mind cross right over the target. Now a normal sweep is West-East to your position not actual N, S, E, W. A weird thing would be to push the coil straight out to North and you could not really bring it to your feet South without turn the machine. But what you want to do is keep the front of the coil pointed N and move the coil from South/East out to North/West. Like this " \ " and then try South/West up to North/East. " / " . Its a weird feeling that takes getting used to but THIS IS A POWERFUL TOOL!!!! The target signal will come through very strong and with a steadier tdi number and tone. This works well on questionable targets as for some reason that diagonal sweep the Manticore likes. Its like a turbo boost. Try it on any target and you will see this little trick works extremely well. I find a target with regular sweep then I try the diagonal trick to really get a turbo charged signal off it. Give it a try you will see.

On the Minelab Pro you can get it 3 ways to Sunday in the dirt. 1. All Metal. The iron tones low and the conductor tones according to 5T or AT audio setting. And that's in Park or Field mode. Probably Beach Modes also. 2.) In Park Mode or Field Mode same audio tone ID thingy w/ no discrimination. 3.) In the notch in Park, Field or Beach. The thing about the notch is if you only open one window that is spot on the target ID you might miss it alot. Opening 1 window below is a waste. Opening exactly one window over it and you will drill it every time even way down there. "The knack of the notch." You have 2 different thresholds on the Manticore that I wish we had on the Pro. It would take me a year to figure out that machine and even then I'm sure there would be more to learn.

Minelab's new update for X Terra Pro contains 2 items. 1.) "IRON BIAS" Takes umasking to unprecedented levels. Mentions advanced target seperation. 2.) Continuous EMI option added. In the dirt I got the Pro to do that test measured. I didn't try air test like you are doing. With the update to "unprecedented levels" should hit it better than ever. But then again it's an air test. More realistic is in the dirt. Anyway, thank you.

I have good quality gopro 10 live digs..Up close target id no headstrap stuff...I know you like reviewing and testing newer machines but i have a lot of good deep live digs with the etrac...15 inch silver ring,14 inch Walking half dollar,12 inch standing liberty dig just to name a few...No exaggerated depths either i always show how deep the targets are with the pinpointer and my 14 inch wilcox shovel....All on my channel feel free to use any thing you want..I have all my raw files saved but they are gigs in size..Don't think i could email them at those sizes..

I know garrett has lagged behind for years. But they got the Axiom right. It is a really nice pi that is ergonomic, simple to setup and use and prrformance is on par witb the gpx 5000 (I would not WANT to dig any deeper). So maybe, just maybe, they got it right with the Vortex. 5 tones you may dislike, but not everyone likes fulltones, I dont, its a noise fest and just not pleasant to listen to. IB is way over valued. I keep it to the minimum on my Equinox 800 and 900. It WILL cause you to miss relics if you set it too high, and complaining that garrett doesnt have that setting is akin to saying every detector that came out after the At Pro needed to have "pro mode" audio. Iron Bias is not an absolute necessary feature. I dont make comlarison videos, I dont claim to be an "expert" I just use detectors and have for over 25 years and I have some pretty impressive finds, the truth is, the less bells and whistles you tinker with and the more holes you dig, the more you will find. 😮
