after being booted from the group and excluded from their rock n roll hall of fame induction, it probably felt pretty nice to get some closure by being on the 50th anniversary tour and being featured in the new documentary

Great songwriting and performing, great band, great rendition, and THE GREAT American institution himself, Brian Wilson. I'm lucky to have talked with Brian by phone once (also in 2005) and to have become acquainted with three members of his band: Bob Lizik (Bass), Paul Von Mertens (Sax, Flute, Clarient, Harmonica) and Probyn Gregory (Trumpet, Guitar, French Horn, Theremin, etc.).With a song like LITTLE SAINT NICK performed by a swingin' band like this the experience is pure, in-the-moment joy. Brian has had more than his share of trouble in life but at the same time has brought tremendous joy to many millions over the years. During the time he had with his (now late) wife Melinda he experienced a renaissance of his musical career which was productive and filled with much-deserved recognition and success. I wish him and all of his band members the best always. If anyone reading this comment knows Brian personally, please give him an extra hug sometime from all the rest of us. He is, simply put, an American treasure.

Is there a live performance of this - w/Brian on vocals & bass - circa 1965??? I found a live performance of Don't Worry Baby @ The Arie Crown Theater in Chicago '65.... Now, I just need to find this! I love those haunting Brian Wilson falsetto parts man! Carl was always good to cover them, & cover them well(!).... But Brian's falsetto had a whine in it, a pain in it that Carl's just didn't have in that same way, ya know?! Carl's voice was more ethereal, much more... Idk. Is 'pure' the right word??? Anyhow, I digress.... ✌️
