Great insight into what is required to gain your excellent shots, planning and timing and going the extra (cold) miles.
ANother awesome video mate - jealous
Dreadful skies but the scenery makes up for it 📷👍
Great pod Brett.
Love the images Brett. That water is wonderful. The drone footage is awesome and the music is so relaxing....well put together Brett.
Another great video, Brett! That scenery is just breathtaking! Love your approach to just exploring and scoping without any predefined schedule. The absolute gem of your advice is about not having huge expectations for every photo shoot and not to be disappointed if you don't always get the perfect shots! Love it! Keep up the great work!! 😀
Another great video mate. Loving the back country valleys

@@cr2686 cheers mate you do !
Stunning shots Brett! New Zealand is so beautiful. What drone did you shoot these on? Im thinking of picking up a mavic 3 classic, and im wondering if you also use a mavic 3?
@@XavierBaker thanks mate, I have a mavic 3 pro, good machine.
Thanks Brett for another great Video of my back yard. I was just over there for a family funeral and had to return to Aus for left Shoulder joint replacement which occurred 1 week ago today and I hope to get back over again soon with camera in hand .................... 😊
@@murraylowe9428 cheers Murray 🤓 recover well mate
Such a beautiful area, Brett! So jealous. I really need to get down there!
You definitely should mate, let me know if you do & we’ll catch up.
May i use this for my editing ?
Give you full credit
Hi I do have a question please why if you are using auto ISO you would use -1 compensation on a landscape photo Thanks
Hi Doug, auto iso I always use when shooting handheld, it's one less setting you need to worry about & knowing the light & shutter speed I knew the iso wouldn't go high, the -1 exposure compensation is just to ensure I'm not blowing out any of the highlights.
@@BrettWoodPhoto Thanks
Your tripod is looks excellent. What is the name of you use in this video? And what model? Can you send me the link? And name?

I would compare your landscape photos in New Zealand to my photographs capturing the mirror-like reflections of the Alpine mountains in the lakes of Austria. Both your work and mine showcase the beauty and majesty of nature, captivating with breathtaking views. These photographs are proof of how diverse and amazing nature can be in different corners of the world. Best regards!
Thanks Paul I will have to check out your work somewhere
Great to see another video out Brett, absolutely love those yellow/orange tones across the landscape too! Can’t wait to get back to NZ!
Thanks for watching mate
Thanks Brett for sharing that with us, amazing scenery that NZ provides. Loved the reflection images but I was very impressed with the River and Mountain image at 17:19. Have a great time with the workshops.
Glad you enjoyed it Ross & thanks mate
Amazing scenery 👍🙂
Sure is mate, thanks
Spectacular photos, New Zealand awesome scenery, living in the Northern Hemisphere very envious! Do you focus on the Grasses in the foreground @F/11 :-). Kep the Vlogs coming 🙏🙏
Thanks Steve, New Zealand is a pretty special place, focus for me is generally about 1/3 of the way into the scene.
I know I say and ask this every time I reply but I wish I knew how to create sharp images like you do. Great video and I hope you have a great time in New Zealand.
Thanks Ken, No real secrets, just nail the focus in the right point.
@@BrettWoodPhoto nailing the focus point is the secret.
Another great video Brett - and what a location. Fantastic! I love the colour palette on these shots. Nice earthy tones and dramatic comps. Keep up the good work! I'm off to look at the Gallery on your site. Cheers mate!
Thanks for that mate, hope you liked the album

Thanks Trace
Spectacular photos, awesome scenery, Brett!
Thanks Pam
Thanks, Brett, for another beautiful video.
Richard cheers mate
At 11:04, why Auto ISO?
I often use auto ISO handheld. One less thing to think about.
@@BrettWoodPhoto Ah, I didn't realise you were shooting handheld at that point. That opens another question then - how do you make sure your histogram is looking good at that point?
@@NickHansonPhotography I did explain the settings in the video & record the screen
Wonderful Brett, hope the workshops go well too.
