I go aurora hunting every so often in Tas- it is SO much fun, but also it an be frustrating if people have said it will happen and we wait, and wait, and nothing happens. But when it does, wow ++

Great images Brett, we too, in Ireland, had some great Aurora borealis earlier in the year. We were very surprised to be able to see it so far south! Thanks for the video.

Beautiful work Brett as always, I love watching your videos. Interesting to see what the custom white balance did, I’ll have to see how it looks as I will usually use auto, that may just be a nice change.

I used 3800K on Iceland for Auroras which worked well for me. Shooting with a f1.8 lens I was getting 4s exposures at iso1600 which gave a lot more definition to the aurora itself. Auroras are one of those unforgettable things, just amazing to experience.

I would try a shorter exposure next time to try and retain some of the structure in the auroras. Very nice photos, though. :)
