Guy in the red really knows his stuff! It was great to listen!
Came back to this once again, great work y'all! Hopefully I will get to see you on KZread again someday
See Jim is actually a giant dwarf, and he was forced to take the slayer oath.
Best piece of advice here imho is describing missed attacks. Incorporating how much you miss a targer's AC for instance and instead of saying "you whiff your attack", saying "he barely parries your attack, you can see he is also very skilled"
Keith Amman’s The Monsters Know book really helped me consider the uniqueness of each monster.
Pulp Art: Literal coolest thing ever Normies: This Fucking Sucks Actually!
@22:40 predicting PHB2024
The "nested encounter chart" that they mention. Could someone provide a link of where I can find/buy it ?
(What do you fight for?) LG: Justice! NG: Good! CG: Freedom! LN: Order! TN: Normality! CN: Chaos! LE: Dictation! NE: Evil! CE: Destruction!
Quick note as I believe it was incorrectly stated in this (3 year old) video, in 5e your attack hits if your attack roll equals or exceeds the target's AC. That being said, I love Web DM! My go to background D&D info videos. In the car, on the go, while drawing or doing DM prep, they're absolute the best DMs to listen to. Hopefully they return to KZread some day. <3 Good luck on your Patreon and any future ventures you and your team makes!
I constantly come back to your channel for inspiration which is why I'll never unsubscribe, despite the fact that this channel is clearly dead.
And another day passes that I miss web dm
Thanks
8:12 that is such a fucking cool premise for a D&D setting
I am running a Ghostwise Halfling Circle of the Moon Druid! He is a beast!
The thumb is amazing
Man, I really wanted to listen you guys opinion on the 2024 dnd stuff
I come back every couple of years and always find the big guy way too dorky for me to stay. 😕
It's funny to me that people today are calling the setting problematic when it is the most politically correct setting in D&D. The whole campaign is about overthrowing genocidal, racist slaver tyrants who destroy the environment for personal gain. It's revolutionary anti-colonialism and climate change in game form with defiling as a stand-in for petroleum and industrialization.
"And I even kick the dog!" Oh, that's definitely the straw that broke the camels back.
Movie: Cube
I wish you would link the multiple software solutions you mentioned in your description.
QUESTION: When will we ever see your beautiful faces again? lol
That open was sooooo cringe and yet sooooo good I wanted to skip so bad but was laughing so hard
Amazing video guys! Congrats
Great video
I was thinking of roleplaying a monk that got kicked out for bad behavior but the proplme is i got no one to play with or any knowlage on where i can
I don't see Levitate, Gust of Wind, Stinking Cloud used much. Dispel Magic used to be bigger, before Counterspell came along. When people tell me I HAVE to take a spell. I will not take it.
I've come back to this video like 10 times.
Sandstorm
I ve not long found Web dm Awesome channel Had lots of inspiration and ideas from you dudes
Am I crazy, or did they not talk about contested roles, instead of getting distracted about the argument of using acrobatics to escape a grapple? I don't think they talked about contested roles at all
I'm about to play a kobold zealot barbarian whose Rage is based on fear of losing another tribe. He believes he is "cursed to live and watch everyone else die. On top of having the kobold need to be with people with the pack mentality. ".....not again" would be the same as "I would like to RAGE!!!"
I always saw the Rage as a massive dump of adrenaline, like the guy from Wanted. So it didn't necessarily mean just pissed the Eff off.
Stitch is a Kobold. Fight me.
I have a house rule that says the PCs are not allowed to take actions during a villain's monologue, and I promise to not have their minions moving into position at the same time. I'm doing that monologue!
Monk main and shaolin kung fu practitioner here. I loved every minute of this. Thank you, guys
WHAT HAPPENED TO WEB DMS?!
Druid: "Conjure animals, Wolves devour the monsters alive, Fighter never needed." Cleric: "Spirit Guardians, The enemies die from me just standing around, Fighter not needed." Wizard: "Hypnotic pattern, Wow, look at that, the enemies can't do anything, so we can just walk up and kill them without struggle. Why was the fighter needed?" This is the main problem I have with fighters, and it won't be fixed by how you roleplay them.
I don't have the problem that nothing I do matters. I have the problem that what I do matters, and I'm bad at it
22:00 Don't need stats if you have money 😂
Working on a campaign where kobolds conquered and tamed a colony of giant leaf cutter ants
While I like the idea of racial negatives, your right its not in line with the rest of 5E But also having a strength negative on a race that spends its entire life doing manual labor doesn't line up, and mining is intrinsic to kobolds
I mean who hasn't wanted to commit genocide against some Gnomes?
My bard (vuman male) has no real interest in music. He's a historian, arcanist and philosopher. He grew up on a farm, but he really didn't want to do physical labor, and he sucked at it. When he came of age to be educated outside the home, he went to the town where there was a college and did groundskeeping and stable work (ironically, more physical labor, but it was supporting his future escape from it) to pay his tuition. While he was there, he learned how to handle himself among wealthy, educated and influential people and he learned history, arcana, natural science, sports etc. After school, he returned to the town as a scribe, recorder and crier until he had to go somewhere. He had to leave because he sang a song (in one of the rare moments that he sang much of anything) about the Mayor's daughter and her knickers that was not well received
I've always wanted to play a hercules barbarian aasimar
And another day passes that I miss web dm
