Titles an 11 minute video "How To" and spends 8 minutes blathering on before the how is even addressed. Come on.

Thanks so much for this. Since red light devices mimic the morning and evening sun, I am know wondering if it's important to only use them in the morning or evening, so as to not confuse our body/circadian rhythm.

Ive been doing the heel raise walk my whole life ever since I watched a documentary of lions or tigers hunting and they would walk in their tippy toes and and I thought that was cool so I imitated it and never stopped doing it lmaoo

I once watch on national Geographic, a documentary on how hunting animals walk when they hunt prey, and they would be on their tippy toes, and for some reason, 9 year old me thought that was so cool so I emulated it and it became a habit to me growing up, and it just became normal for me now to walk on my tippy toes and I would sometimes scare some friends and relatives because I walk so quietly. also it did help with my foot and leg muscles, I never trip when I fall

@1:43 I get that a lot is exaggerated to make a point more clear in this video. I hope no one wears shoes too small for them like this though. For example my runners have never squashed my toes like this from experience.

I have very flat feet but my weight is shifted to the outside, occasional sharp pain in the childhood automatically made the body get used to avoiding the wrong position. that shift to the inside must have other causes, maybe weak ankles and these ugg(ly) boots.

Ok, this is true, but what now, how to resolve bunion, or find good shoes

You are the first person that has provided some clue on what to wear and which shoes- thank you- as my bunions also have created hammer toes and each time that I have gone on a trek- I would get blisters on all my toes. I ended up having to wear an orthoditic thongs - while I didn't have the rubbing of the toes I did between my first and second toe. But I at least could feel the ground better and since I have had more movement in my feet for over 10 years. What would be the best hiking shoe?

I’m a Vibram Five Finger fanatic and my V-Trek shoes are my go to shoes for every day wear. So far they’ve cost me 33 cents per day. That’s according to my formula of Price divided by days used. Not days used divided by price. Apart from your mix up with your formula this is an awesome vid. Thanks.

But Drs , and many google searches of course by foot surgeons will answer they cannot go away or be corrected without surgery. That once they form they keep growing . So has anyone reversed their bunions ?

In short.. glute exercises and foot exercises. Weak glutes brings thigh inward. Then also cause muscles to shorten (hamstring, quads) Because of imbalance, you over pronate foot aka lose the arch. So ya have to tackle the whole thing top to bottom. Alternate it. Plenty of info on here for it, but yes he didnt really show "how to".

Of course do calf, hamstring/quad and knee strenghtning. Im am in the middle of correcting this big issue my self for my whole right side of body.

I had flat feet as a kid. I remember my dad took me to a friend of his which was an ortopedist and he told my dad to force me do several exercises, like, raises on my tips so to speak, and staying with my feet on a cilinder, in the door, and roling my flat feets on that stuff. And i did it many many times till the issue was solved and it worked great.

Fantastic video - I’ve been in barefoot shoes for 3 years and love it. However, am struggling to find the best shoes for cricket - seems like I’ll have to accept cushion and “toe spring” in return for getting a wide toe box with zero drop (altra trail shoes).

I have observed that you walk with un unbalanced , in which your foot turns inside, I think it is because they are so flexible that provide No support for your ankle and therefore in moves inward, this is often the case with people who use Converse and similar shoes without ankle support. this could become a SERIOUS PROBLEM caused by the shoes you are recomending

I've spent months figuring out my issues with Squats.. Hips, knees, ankles.... Finally, it really seems like the final key is the feet. Incredible how much focusing on foot function has made an almost immediate change. Buy your barefoot shoes folks, life changing!

This was exceptionally well done, well said, and well put. I threw out all my shoes and went back to wearing barefoot shoes again several weeks ago (started wearing barefoot shoes years ago but stopped). And life has definitely gotten better. Keep on rockin'! 🤘

Where's the comparison between actual barefoot and people wearing minimalist shoes? By the way, "barefoot shoes" is an oxymoron. When people use that term, all I hear is "moron." 🤦‍♂️

I have been thinking that inversion and eversion are some under appreciated functions of the foot. 2 of the 6 directions it can move. Its probably important for non flat terrain as well as direction change. I have been training by running in tight ~15 foot circles (clockwise and counter clockwise) and i can really feel the transverse and longitudinal arches. Also its been cool to target the medial and the lateral gastrocs independently. Just tried looking for some videos on this phenomenon and for example the only videos i found for strengthening the posterior tibialis (powerful inverter) are for healing tendonitis and im pretty sure this muscle would be crazy strong in people who had to navigate non flat terrain
