    Brilliant effort for a first-up video. Well done. This is significantly better than many videos done by people with a lot more experience. Recipe also looks good, thank you.

    Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs kzread.infoUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

    So do you do this without adding water? It's just the wet paper towel?

  • @julioleon559
    @julioleon55910 ай бұрын

    Yes no water just the moisture from the paper towel is enough water needed. You want to steam the eggs not boil them

    I use water. Doing it your way seems odd. Add some baking soda to the water for easy peeling.

    Simple and clear explanation. I would suggest to use a 3M steam chemical integrator/ (visual) type 5 placed inside on the top where it won’t get to direct contact with the water like on a metal basket facing down. That way you can see whether it’s level of steam or sterilization is near surgical sterile processing. I will try it at home myself.

    I'm absolutely shocked that this worked out for me!! I love boiled eggs but making them in the pot was always a disaster. I was skeptical on the wet paper towels and if it would even work, my rice cooker is just like yours just a different brand, it shut off on its own at 12 min, I let them sit in the warmth for another 7 and then I put them in the ice bath for about 15min (peeling for me was always frustrating). They cracked so effortlessly!!!?! I twisted the shell off after cracking it all around and I was so happy none of the white part ripped in bits stuck to the shell, when I cut them they were perfectly cooked!! I can't believe I can make hard boiled eggs now!!! No more buying them hard boiled ready at the grocery store! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️

    Great Job I think I'll try it but I live in upstate NY not sure where I could get the instant curry I haven't seen it here. Do you think you need the whole 50 minutes for the veggies to soften or do you think maybe 30 mines then release pressure. What do you think?

  • @Jeffdachefz

    Doesn't really look like Chinese congee if the grains of rice are separate from the water. You'll have better luck in 20 mins if you wash and freeze your rice overnight. Then boil on the stove for 20-30, adding water as you need.

    You should really specify what "1 box curry sauce mix" means. The store that I went to only had 3.2 oz boxes of curry sauce mix (same brand). So I bought 1 box as your recipe called for. Looking back at your video, I see that your boxes are 8.11 oz. Entire meal ruined. Dislike.

    @@osakarose5612 Thank you very much for your reply. I just re-watched the video. At no point in time did she ever say "4 oz." She only references the curry as a "box" or "chunks." The same goes for her description where she only refers to the curry as a "box." Your interjection is not only unhelpful but also delusional. You need to do better mentally. Or get professional help.

    4 years late on this video, but i make curry like this in my IP all the time. Almost the same exact way but a few differences. my curry cubes are added after its pressure cooked. I pressure cook this for about 7 min, i dont think 15 is necessary at all especially when the chicken is cut up that much. then finally i dont even waste time sauteing the chicken, when its lathered up in curry sauce the difference is negligible to me. I always lean towards whats easier and faster but still good.

    Manually set it for 4 minutes on high pressure and wait for 16 minutes to naturally release steam. The rice will turn out excellent!

  • @HinaShazli

    HinaHues 😔... the pot sticks and burns when heated on stove without monitoring it. With any rice cooker or pressure cooker, none will happen. It turns off automatically and goes to keep warm.

  • @charles0406
    @charles04063 жыл бұрын

    4 minutes manual setting comes out really nice and let it naturally released the pressure at 16minues as you said. The first time I used the instant pot to cook rice, I used the preset rice button which went to auto and started cooking for 12minutes and let it steam out naturally 10 minutes and the rice was so saggy and too soft sticky as well which I dont like

  • @3rd-Wave_Rebel
    @3rd-Wave_Rebel3 жыл бұрын

    @@charles0406 me too! I used the preset when I first got the machine. I did not wait for a natural steam release. I release it right away and the rice was too saggy and wet. One more suggestion. Fill up half the cup for every last cup of rice. Let say. 3 cups of rice. 2 cups fill all the way up but the 3rd cup just half a cup or 75% water.

    So why didn't you add salt and butter? You only put water in there! You could also use Olive Oil, Peanut Oil, Coconut Oil if you're a health nut. You could also use GHEE, Sheep or Cow Ghee, that stuff is super healthy with a ton of health benefits and it gives a Heavenly flavour to the Rice!
