Our community finds so much to connect to within straight/cis storytelling whereas LGBTQ+ stories are often overlooked as being something they can’t identify with but these are all stories about human connection, human struggles and ultimately love. Hopefully straight/cisgender people will watch this and takeaway something from it.

I watched LGD on DR France and they were amazing. I had no idea their English is so good, they are so eloquent and expressive , esp as a second language . How they managed to learn this well with such a disruptive home life is tremendous

USA here. My first job was as a nurses aid in a nursing facility and there was one male patient who was gay. The torment and poor care he received as a patient was awful and heartbreaking. He wasn't physically abused but was always last to have his light answered and poked fun at by the straight male nurses aids. It was sickening. I spoke out against it and was told the director of nursing had a "talk" with the straight males but I can only assume it did nothing.

As an older Irish gay man myself, I’m aware of some efforts to provide care for older LGBT people - a young Irish gay male nurse at my late father’s care home in Rural Ireland left to pursue his project of setting up the first Irish care home for older Irish LGBT people
