I wonder how this type of technology could morph into something that you could attach to a basket ( chains) and figure out how to make the perfect basket with chains that catch discs that don't have spit outs?

As a nerd, this was excellent. I had been dreaming of this product since 1998 when I started playing. I even had some prototyping ideas for it. But, my engineering career took me in a different direction. What an informative and helpful video. I think you convinced me that this tool is more than just a toy. Strong Work!

Just got my td earlier this month. I can't believe the nose angle Stat. I could throw it into the ground and my nose angle would still read up. 😅 Also, why do you make the guy hold the chode mic? 😅 Does your RODE mic not back up on the receiver? Is that Dynamic Discs in KC btw? Wife and I were there and played Waterworks around the 4th of July. Great store!

I would love to see this tech combined with wearable sensors that log positions for certain body parts (wrist, elbow, shoulders, hips) that when combined with measurements create a model of the thrower that can be used to inform timing and mechanic optimizations.

The time warning/time rules are hot garbage. I am glad it didn't take Gannon off track. He handled it better than others have in the past. With that said a game should be about the game and not about the officials. 30 seconds or 90 seconds to line up an important shot isn't really a separator of the essence of disc golf in my opinion. In chess they have blitz, rapid, and classic formats that use the clock to affect play, but I believe that the consensus is that the best chess happens in the classic time format. It angers me a little to see the sport cheapened by people feeling like they need to interject themselves. There is literally no one behind the lead card. There are those goofly little videos where people start a timer, run as fast as they can, throw as fast as they can to hole out as soon as possible and that is fine for goofy little videos, but not something that I want to watch at a major. I check myself whenever I find myself agreeing with Broodie, but after checking myself, I find myself wondering why not just do what golf does in this case? Disc golf is screwing up a solved problem. Switching topics... I am not as put off by the rule change on 16 as a lot of people seem to be in as much as it brings consistency to the current tour landscape of disc golf. With that said, it makes me think that the current general drop zone/island rules of disc golf aren't necessarily what people want. I don't think there should be more than one hole like that per tournament, but why not bring it in general in as much as it seems to be something that even people that have suffered from it like.

So the 4th year of majors you’ve watched?! You’re a typical disc golf newbie Interneter kuck! Before your emotions get in the way of your new found passion, try to critically think about the evolution of DG. As you and all the other Interneter kooks call traditional golf “ball golf” you fail to understand that every single aspect, literally everything has come from golf, literally down to the name comes from its predecessor. The only thing disc golf has on its side as far as differences is ratings, something so ridiculously useless, it’s incomprehensible! If dg would just of continued to steal everything including the handicap system, disc golfers would be able to compete against anyone who plays with a handicap, fairly! So prior to round you could against Mcbeth, Wysocki and Buhr they would have to give “x” amount of strokes, the issue in this scenario is that while Mcbeth abd wysocki play with a veteran professional pace of play, Gannon would be entirely be slow, destroying the pace of play and flow of the game. While he should of been stroked, you cannot justify slow play, ever it’s ruined all tiers of the game already, every modern player carries a whale sack, has a routine and now local tournaments take over 6hrs, this ruins the game! Everything about it, guess what happens in traditional golf when your play is slow? You get a warning, if it keeps up another hole you get kicked off the course and everyone you slowed down gets a free round (rain check) that’s why there are clocks on the tee pads, set at your original tee time, thus telling you if your pace of play is fast enough! Hopefully disc golf adopts this rule just like everything else they have from traditional golf! Modern Interneter who knows Richard! That’s the other name for Richard nerd!

Too Easy?!?!?! For 7 feet tall, zero body fat hot head MPO players? No way. It definitely isn't because the course is so open, and favors throws that only reward those throwing steady 5-6 hundred per shot. Definitely couldn't be that. Yeah if we could just get some more ball golf courses to play on. That'd be greeeeaaaate. Disc golf should definitely only reward those who can throw for distance. Who needs midrange discs anyway. Just get the hot heads out there and let them take their frustration out by making ace runs out of par 5's. That's what we want people to pay to see. Seems like the best way to grow the sport. And if you took anything I've said as anything other than severe sarcasm, maybe the internet isn't for you.

Sponsorship signs should not be at an angle or near landing areas near the basket like the one on 18. I wonder how many other disc golfers hit that sign as their discs were hyzer-skipping toward the basket. Ricky was unfairly punished by that sign. Tournament organizers have to he more aware of those types of errors. Quite shocking really.

+9 Final Round by the leader of the tournament at a Major has to be the worst ever Final Round. I’d like to see that “stat”. Could have shot a +1 and Won a Major 🤦🏻‍♂️. Meanwhile, Gannon shoots -11 to hold off Ricky and Paul.

don't care what anybody says but the FPO was really disappointing to me and Tattar had no real competition and walked the Open although playing a terrible 3rd round to her standards. Especially when you compare the MPO and FPO on a technical basis there's a huge gap. A lot of FPO's competitors putting seems really uncontrolled with suboptimal posture. On the MPO side of things i was hoping for a tighter competition but alot of my favourite players disappointed and some players never were competative across the whole four days. Gotta give lots of props to Gannon Buhr though, for standing up to the pressure that Wysocki and McBeth were loading onto him, especially being that young still he really stood his man the last cple baskets. Lots of respect for him.
