  Is this really not a full version of the game? Just a fancy box and some resigned tiles and a few extra cards for if you already own the game? I was trying to decide if it was worth the $60 extra for the big box, but if you need the base game first it's actually the full $140 extra, which seems really crazy.

  I know the video is 10 months old. But if you don't know. After melee combat the charging unit falls back (1) one inch. This keeps them from being stuck in melee where someone cannot shoot at them. But yes you can only shoot or charge into melee not both. You can however be charged, fight in melee then shoot when the charged units turn comes to activate.

  How do you figure he needs 11 to hit. When an evasion is 4+ on most ships meaning he only needed to roll 4 or more on either dice to score a hit. Have the rules been updates since this video?

  I have not play FTL in a while so I actually can't remember the rules. But yes the video is a year old and I believe FTL has had major changes since. Opr do updates the there rules nearly ever month.

  The baby cooing made me panic just the tiniest bit because my daughter is too old for those sounds, but she could be crying upstairs which could sound like cooing if she was muffled somehow. not that it’s a bad thing. I just caught myself paying real close attention to the baby sounds. Altogether this was great. I’ll be back for more.

  Thank you for this video. It game me the confidence to do it myself. In addition, I used some transparent smoke paint to give a weathered effect to the city domes. I painted it on the inside of the domes to avoid it rubbing off over time when contacting the storage tray lids.

  Anytime you paint mass produced plastics like these, I would recommend washing them with soapy water to remove the mould release they use and then yes priming. In saying that, I didn't do either of those with these. I simply started painting as I just wanted to smash them out. Just make sure you don't use primer to give them a good clear coat at the end of the paint will just chip strait of with use.

  I say just go for it. W ould say if your not super confident with painting, you can just slop a black wash over everything and call it a day that will help give everything a little more detail. Then if you want at a later date you can go the method i have done and just dry brush it all. But my method was not that hard i say maybe just give it a go on one piece if it works go for it. if it doesnt work just wash it of with some iso.

  New player here, trying to play with my young son. I have a question about the wound effects. If a model only has 1 wound, do they play to see a wound effect or are they just killed and removed? And if a model has more than 1 wound do they take a wound effect on each wound they receive or just the final wound?

  Unless a model has tough (X) anytime they take a wound place a marker next to the mini and roll a d6. Add the number of markers next to the mini to the dice result. If the result is 2-5 the model is stunned if its 6 or over it's dead. Think of toughness (X) as lives. What ever the X number is that how many wounds it will take before you have to roll to see if it's stunned or dead. Hope that helped.

  @@superhappyawesomegaming4938 sorry I have one more question if ok. If a model only has 1 wound (life), gets hit , takes a wound marker, gets stunned for the round, then next round he is revived? Then say he gets hit again, adds another wound marker, gets stunned again for the remainder of the round. It’s possible (if favourable dice rolls) that a 1 wound model could take up to 5 wounds before it’s knocked out? Whilst unlikely is my thought process right here? Thanks again.

  The first layer is called black wash. This can be purchased pre made or I make my own using black ink, matte medium, water and dish washing liquid.

  I sealed them using a clear matte spray paint. Rustolium is the one I use. You will want to give them a nice coat as they are game pieces that will always be handled.

  Too much white on ocean tiles in my opinion. Makes them look like ice.
