Welcome to Shenke Garage,
This channel is all about the shed life. Car building, tools, shed tips and DIY projects for you're ultimate home workshop/garage.
My main project is my Holden HX one Tonner that I have owned since I was 18 years old. With the car coming up to nearly 50 years old the Holden One Tonner is a classic Australian icon and becoming more popular as a muscle car. I hope these videos of documenting this build can give you tips, ideas and inspiration to carry out you're own home DIY car builds.
Enjoy and thank you for stumbling onto this channel.
Regards,
Sam

First time be here 1️⃣🇦🇺👈
Fuck that’s awesome man! That’s such a killer bench! You’ve put a lot of thought into that!
Thanks for sharing this! I'm using your video to put a system that's very similar up im my garage. I just wonder where you sourced the 6 weld in tube adaptors to ¾ BSP male from?
Dude u done a brilliant job
Did you consider using a rotisserie im just starting a restoration now and thought a rotisserie would make it easy although you made working on it standing up look easy
Solder travels to the heat. Always heat your fittings and not the pipe. This is why your pipes are black. The hard solder is for Oxyacetylene.
Looks shmick
Curious question ! Why does your tubing come painted blue ?
Cool vid
Might want a longer drop leg on second or third drop/valve. That's where water sits/collects until you open the valve. Not sure why no one seems to include nipples off the ball valves. Cheap clear tubing run into a drilled and vented paint bucket is a lot nicer than water stains on a wall, from venting. Super congrats on getting it done, even if you do modify it a bit. Sorta leaning toward install between pump and tank, with keeping the tank dry as a thought.
Hey Sam, great job mate. I'm looking at doing this upgrade to my LX Torana soon, and I'm trying to figure out how to best mount the Astra pump. Can you tell me what size hole you have to cut to get the pump tank to poke through into the engine bay, please? Cheers Andy
hi mate.. did you chk the bump steer..
Hi Mate, great videos car looks mint……how did the astra pump look in the end….from underneath and in the engine bay? About to suss mine out and watched your vid from a few years ago on your install….cheers JF
Hey Sam Car and you looking good mate! that's an impressive amount of weight to put on! Glad your enjoying your training Hopefully catch up soon! Cheers
I was taught to heat from the bottom, or one side and feed it from the other, same reason, you can watch it flow around the joint and keep a cool wet rag where you don’t want heat, cool project, thanks for sharing!
Flame on opposite side. Solder is drawn toward heat I think. But for sure you don't melt the solder with the flame.
@@70ixlr86 Always heat your fittings and not the pipe
Those fees are robbery, they make no sense. You need to pay more if you want to be closer to your property line? Why would that cost more?
Awesome stuff keep it up
This is very useful, thank you. I'm working towards building a home art/video studio would these sheds be appropriate? Can we install sound insulation along the walls?
love the plumbers crack @3:50
Hey mate love your work, I've also purchased these lights. I'm trying to fit them to a hq premier front. My buckets look the same as these and I've cut one the same as you but my lights still don't fit. Any suggestions?
Did you think about to "polish" the bars against rost with wd40 or something similar?
How ridiculous is it to pay the gov to allow you to build a shed on "your own land" and "relaxation lol there just making this up.
As an Auzzy I can't believe that you tried silver solder when it requires greater skills than soft solder. And the next thing I have trouble in understanding If you never joined copper fittings before and that obvious why you did not try to join the fittings off-camera!!!.
love it
These councils are criminal with their BS costs.
Uh oh
I found the full boar gasless mig welder from bunnings was the best for spot welding don't have to grind it back
Currently restoring one atm iv got the doors to do tomorrow same spots but alot more damaged cheers for the vid I didn't know where to start
I know it’s a year ago but if you see this turn your flame down quit a bit
Burn out, its real alright. Your mental health will suffer for sure. I have a saying. The only thing worse than an unsuccessful youtube channel, is a SUCCESSFUL youtube channel.
I haven't been following your build. What rack kit did you decide on? I kept the steering box as I didn't want to lose the variable ratio steering.
That is a good looking cowl hood scoop. Where did you aquire it. Great video
Loving the build mate
Hey bro dont stuff the ride with big rims 15 s will ride better then 18 s id hate to drive arround australia on 18s
Hay mate just asking how are you going. Checking in on ya Cheers Dave
hope its a roller camshaft not flat tappet
Undoubtedly, definitely, attention to minute details make the job easy , and very accurate. Thanks. Always
Love your work mate. And look after number one. 👍
Thanks for the cost break down, not alot of honest people out there (or those willing to share open up about money) You can get remote elec door roller things from bunnos ... put a $100 one up in my rental.
Getting me in the mood now. Hesrd about your channel a while ago but only just started checking it out with the tray build. Now ive gone back to the start to watch the whole lot. Awesome job man.
What is the pressure rating of those copper pipes?
BEST 4-LINK VIDEO ON THE KZread VERY WELL EXPLAINED THANK YOU SIR
That’s a pretty slick build. Well done.
Your not alone with burnout I haven’t touched my Tonner rebuild in a year, like you I got a bit side tracked and lost my mojo. Back into it soon as I’m selling a lot of the crap I no longer need which will give me more room in the shed. 👍
Hope things are improving for you mate!
Hi Sam, love watching your videos. Just wondering how difficult is it to reach your tank when refuelling?
Especially once your guards are welded on 👍
Great job, Can you advise the brand of steel drop saw and disc?
