I had this little stuffed Bob the tomato VeggieTales toy and it had a button on it and when you pressed it, it would say that God made you special line that he always says at the end of all the VeggieTales movies and unfortunately Bob’s battery died and my grandma did the exact same thing. She was able to open up the toy and change the batteries in it. My brother and I used to always say that she was performing surgery on the stuffed animals. It was pretty ironic because my grandma was in the medical field But she also loved doing arts and crafts and she knew how to sew. There was another singing toy that she performed her special surgery on and put a little piece of Velcro where the battery pack was. My grandma passed away last year and I miss her very much.

If the pads are fine can I just solder or glue gun the piece back on?
@bradyrepairs7735 Жыл бұрын
Don't use a glue gun it won't make an electrical connection. If the pads are fine resoldered the original or a new button. The two pads on the sides of the button are anchors and their whole purpose is to add structural support to the button.

@@bradyrepairs7735 thanks for that. Are they originally soldered on because they're fairly weak it seems. Do I soldered the little side parts also?

@@raycarey21 yes solder the side parts as well those are anchor points for strength. One of the negatives of the lead free solder everyone uses now is its fairly brittle compared to the old school leaded stuff. For alot of applications it's fine but for buttons like this that get knocked around its not as strong because of the brittlness.

@@raycarey21 There's international agreements to use lead free solder because leaded solder will leach lead into the ground water over time if it is thrown into a landfill. It's all part of being rohs complient and was done with good intentions regarding the environment. Hey I have a really important question and I would like you to help me. I have a Super Nintendo game (Aladdin) and the game works but when you load it some things on the display is missing. For example, some letters are missing and when you actually play the game the Aladdin character doesn’t show up and the game doesn’t work after that. I don’t know what to do or how to fix it but it used to work a couple years ago. Is the film gone or is it something else? I really don’t know so can you help me out. Also I have a bunch of other games that won’t load as well.

I have a similar issue all my games load just fine but the only thing thats missing on all of them is the characters in the game. And no one seems to know anything about it.
@meep2652 Жыл бұрын
@@osirishilario6945 I have actually managed to make most of my games work. First, I think the main issue was the Super Nintendo itself. When I opened it, it was very rusty and I think it made the chips inside not work. When I cleaned it, it didn’t work because I think the main chip inside (I forgot the name) wasn’t working so I bought an already used Super Nintendo from eBay (it was kind of cheap so I think the owner sold it because the outside was broken and very dirty and old). I switched the mother board and most of the other chips from my original one to the new one I just bought and most of my games actually worked. I also cleaned the the games itself( the part where you insert it into the Nintendo) and it started working. I hoped this helped.
