Car Seat Kat is here to help with all your car seat woes and wonders!
I have over 10 years experience supporting parents and carers with choosing, fitting and using their car seats safely.
I started off in retail, moved on to work for the good egg guide, then worked for Britax, then spent some time freelance and doing the car seat libraries (which closed down due to Covid) I am now with Silver Cross as Product Technologist Car Safety.
Although I have videos on other brands, these have been filmed when I have not been employed by a manufacturer. As I work for a car seat manufacturer now, I cannot film videos on other brands due to conflict of interest- so if I do put anything up, it’ll be Silver Cross 😊

Thank you so much!
We have a three week old and he hates being in the seat. Any tips? He just screams and looks uncomfortable
Thanks
Do you have any tips to sort one of the straps being twisted? Tried the triangle method but doesn't go through?
Hi, The following should help: Loosen off the harness fully, and raise the headrest to the very highest position. Start with the buckle at the bottom of the harness strap, and make the "L" shape. Bring the buckle up over the L shape to remove the twist. It will be very tight, as the newer harnesses are designed to avoid twisting so easily. Force the buckle over the harness fold/L shape, pulling straight up to the sky - it will take some effort, so don't be afraid of really giving it a good pull. You'll likely need the whole harness length to work the buckle across the twist. I hope that helps 🙂
Great Video. Helped a lot. As the others said the written instruction is terrible
Thank you so much for this video! I was getting so frustrated with the written instructions, this was so clear and simple. Huge thanks!
Thank you!
Thankyou so much for this! I couldn't make head nor tail of the actual instructions! Very grateful for you showing me.
Thank you much! We just nearly missed a swimming lesson, 3 year old crying, two parents bickering and on the brink of divorce 😂 but then this video saved the day all round
Thank you! ❤
Thank you for explaining its so easy to do
You’re welcome 😊
People like YOU!!!!! I have been crying all evening over this stupid yolk that I couldn’t find not knowing if I could bring my daughter to kindergarden tomorrow and having to buy a new baby car seat. Your video saved the day and days ahead!! Thanks to you I can dry my tears, my baby is sleeping (she felt the stress before and was impossible to make her fall asleep until I calmed down) I cannot enough express my gratitude for what it meant to me. You are one savior❤️ And to @britaxroemer shame on you for not giving any information about this anywhere. This woman deserves to be paid for the video she made!🙏
I'm so pleased the video helped!
Omg!! Britax needs to tag your video on their website for people like us who did this. I was so stressed that I couldn’t take my child to school tomorrow if I can’t fix it tonight!!! We already gave up on it and was ready to buy a new booster seat that we need to upgrade anyway if we can’t figure out how to get this metal thing out!! I had to first find the metal part’s name as Yoke to find your video. Thank you
I'm so pleased the video helped! Thank you for your comment 😊
Super helpful, thank you so much
Thank you! Putting it back now we’ve finished with this seat. Very helpful video 😊
Pulled my hair out taking apart the whole chair with the provided instructions. Took half an hour to put back together, then 3 minutes to do what you did! Thank you
Thank you SO MUCH!
Thank you!
Thank you for this, very helpful
Thanks ,. that who you make a "how to do video" ,. epic!
Thank you very much! Tried to read in the manual how to do it, but your video is great! 😍👏🏼
What a life saver, struggled with this job for an hour before I found this video.
bless you.
Thank you very much for you great video! I could! It is super helpful. I didn't understand the paper instruction manual at all. This video should be official manual video of this product :)
Thanks a lot. Great explanation 😊
How does the car seatbelt work when using it in rear facing? Cannot work it out, manual is rubbish
Hi, The seat cannot be fitted with the vehicle seatbelt rear facing (and can’t be fitted belt only in any mode). It fits: Rear facing with harness (birth-4y): ISOFIX and support leg Forward facing with harness (15m-4y): ISOFIX and support leg Forward facing with adult belt securing child (4-12y): ISOFIX only
Thank you very very much. Greeting from Germany
Your Video is ways better than any Manual!🎉
That is the same as my car seat
thank you! was wondering how on earth i could raise the headrest for my poor daughter who was getting a crooked neck from this not being high enough!
You had the curtesy to put the whole procedure on video so thank you for that but cmon do a proper video recording. The chair is always out of frame, the scene is dark, no close ups on what you’re doing, getting in front of the camera… My god…
Thanks that's really helpful! Just one question: My base itself seems sturdy but I feel like the seat itself wobbles on the base if that makes sense? Is that normal too?
Amazing! This has been soooo helpful! Many thanks!
Thank you so much
So helpful thank you!
Thanks Kat. Exactly what I needed to check. Extending the back thing as the baby grows !
Thanks Kat
Thank you soo much 🎉
Fantastic easy to understand thank you so much
Thank you for the detailed guideline! Really helpful!
Your videos should be the ones on the Britax romer KZread page not the voice over dude because you just explain the whole process so easily
Thank you! 🙏🏼
OMG! God bless you!!!!! You saved my life with that video!!!!! ❤
Thank you for this! I was so worried for the safety of my boy. I couldn’t drive because i didn’t know what to do. You saved me from a lot of trouble. No one understand what I was saying. Thank you again !
Thank you soooo much for posting this video. Couldn't have done it without you ❤
Thanks. Tried to build it back from 3 to 5 and almost collapsed before I found your video.
Hello thank you so much, this instruction has really saved us today! You were great at explaining this. Cheers from Poland
great instruction thank you
For the Britax M i-size the ISOFIX arms sort of just move in a 45 degree angle and the bar can't be pushed back any further. Found a different solution for that though. The strap is attached inside to a plastic bar/lever with a metal rod inside it, by pulling that plastic bar/lever while simultaneously pulling the strap, the arms extend as they should.
You are a life saver. I could not figure it out for the life of me. Pulled the pads off before you warned me through 🙈
