The algorithm is destroyed. For the past 3 weeks KZread recommends mostly videos from 4-5 years ago that are not relevant. It’s literally crazy.

If you want to use an SD-Card, I know it is a stupid solution, but just use a usb type c to sd card adapter (Type C sd card reader)
Or use a usb otg to connect an external hard drive/ssd
If you still want to connect to an account, then you probably won't find a good yt alternative. But if you don't mind having an account, I recommend LibreTube (has modern ui) or newpipe and its forks (old ui).

Actually SwiftKey wasn't made by Microsoft, I had it prior to them buying the company. It's what I'm using now. It was later bought by micrisoft and they made a few changes right away that actually made it slightly worse...

Well Louis, I wish it were that easy: left a FAANG in October 2023 (guess which?) and June 2024 still can't get a job, not a single interview for those 60K jobs. Survivorship bias: you did well, many others that opened a tiny repair shop had to close it.
I can't stand how it seems to have decided there are exactly these 15 videos I must see, so finding anything but Ariana Grande's new house tour because I searched for Son House tabs once 2 months ago, is a nightmare. I have taken to only watching things I have seen, and liked before. Sorry, anybody trying to do anything new. KZread's bad!
I work as an IT contractor for an US megacorp, I'm nearshore, I make a very good living if considered the median salary here in my country. Today I feel the golden handcuffs, it is far from what a FAANG engineer earns in US, but it is adapted to my reality, I have nothing against my employer, I think they have been honest with me, but after 14 years in the IT/SWE world I don't know, I'm having yet another crisis, I don't like what I do, don't hate it either, but don't like it, and I don't know where I'm heading to and what should I do, it seems that I'm never at peace with my job and career.

Oh my Lord, I'm looking into your microG API. Spent last three months of my life in vain trying to do something very trivial (print latitude and longitude) in Android API. I'm still no closer due to broken dependencies, unresolved version conflicts, and bugs in the API. I'm so frustrated. I'm going to try and switch to your system. This is MUCH needed, not only from privacy perspective but ALSO from development perspective. How can such a big company, recruit such poor talent... I think it's intentional to create these Android API issues, I cannot imagine the programmers would be that bad at Google. Android API documentation leaves SO much to be desired, I figured I'll just look at their source code to figure out how to program with their API, and YEAH, it's locked down... Android API is DEFINATLEY NOT open source as so many people say. I have NO clue how ANYBODY can write code to interface with Android API.

I used to love youtube, watch what I wanted to watch, few ads, enjoyable escapism. Now ??? Well I have to say, it's not what it should be. I watch a fly fishing video and the next thing I get is a Japanese flyfishing girl in a tight t-shirt with nice tits whose language may as well be Plutonian. Hiking videos...same gig. Young ladies with obvious sex appeal whose youtube stills suggest possible information but don't deliver any substance. It's obvious that youtube lies and it's a crying shame. All I get is that the platform is run and managed a by a a bunch of wankers who do not care one bit what people think of them. I'd go as far as suggesting that they love the fact that people think they are cunts, as that equals attention. Provide the service you purport to...and watch how many more people use the service. Do good, not harm for a change. Why not ?

I agree this platform is completely broken, the shadowbanning/censoring of comments behind your back is disgusting. Sometimes it helps to re-sort comments by newest first.
You should build a go kart chassis for the recliner and use a Predator engine so you can drive it around.
I noticed years ago that KZread deletes comments. It used to be after 20 seconds. I would refresh my comment for 20 seconds and if it isn’t deleted then it stays. Nowadays it’s REALLY random. 9 times out of 10 every reply gets deleted, no cuss words nothing controversial. This happens mostly when my original comment is top rated and I try to reply to some of the replies. It’s just really strange.
So... I've been using Brave browser for android now for a couple years since it was recommended by Louis. But now, it's been forcing a whole page ad after I open it up when it hasn't been used for a while and I don't know what's causing it. It's been like this for 3 weeks now. It won't let me skip it or close it until after 10 seconds have passed. I thought maybe it was a website doing it but it does it regardless of what website/tab loads after I close the ad. I've looked through all my settings and have anything related to rewards or ads turned off and yet... it still does this. I've tried doing the force-close on Brave browser and reopen it and all that does it reset the whole-page ad timer. Anybody else getting this? Please tell me I'm not the only one. I've stopped using Brave because it's very intrusive.

No one comes back for messed up repairs I do during my day job unless I film them interestingly enough lol
