I think I took your word too literally to keep the tension tight while crocheting the tentacles together. I’ve had to play with the tension quite a bit to get the right amount of curl without sacrificing length. Still having fun with this project and really grateful this video exists!

Once you pull down on them, they will elongate also ( keep that in mind incase you hadn't done that).

I've had quite a few beginners make it, but I don't know how long it took them. It takes me 1.5 days. You will need to know how to read a pattern though.

I have just watch your video and it's a great pattern and tutourial. I enjoyed watching the video. Not sure if I will make it but has help me picture the octopus pattern I want to make. My first octupuse's body worked well but the tentacles were a failure. The body made a great hat for a toy. 😅 Found a new pattern. But the idea I think I will use the most is your alternating the beginning and end on rounds. Such a great idea.

My mom used to make roses and sew them on to a granny square bkanket or she would start with the rose then make a bunch of squares with roses in the middle and then all the squares she would sew them together to make one big blanket

Im not understanding the difference between 'your' pattern and the pattern thats already been around for years that is free and the same thing as 'your' hat pattern. Please correct me if i'm wrong, I'm just tired of people Taking patterns that already exist and then saying it's their own pattern because they changed the color or they modified one stitch and now they sell it as their own..
