    I removed a 70 foot gutter from a place i was fixing up and spent days trying to figure out how they got it there. I was convinced they used a flatbed to bring a single gutter over... this makes so much more sense.

    Pry it out with benders hope it doesn't damage it or put gutter on top of the drip edge and install new one second layer?

    Pry it away a little. Doesn’t take much. Super annoying though

    @@dietcomedy1 please tell me you don't install gutter cause if your putting screws through the drip edge just retire and shut down shop. Water will leak into the screw holes and rot out the fascia board momo

    @@devaughndavies9207 on my last sentence I wrote-put a new second layer after installing on top of first layer of drip that's too tight

    The exterior finish isn't on the house. They do that to mark the down spout location and allow water to drain out of the trough. Tell me you're new to construction without telling me. Lol

    Why are you paying attention to the temperature of Copper vs White gutters?

  • @vperson99
    @vperson9923 сағат бұрын

    The higher the temperature, the more the gutter stretches. A 50’ long gutter with a 50 degree temperature changes stretches a copper gutter just over 1/4”. Different metals will stretch differently. The more it stretches, the more likely the joints will tear themselves apart and start leaking.

    Who would use STEEL in 2024?!

  • @crakkbone
    @crakkbone5 күн бұрын

    You should use aluminium for that. It won’t rust.

  • @vperson99
    @vperson9923 сағат бұрын

    Aluminum stretches about 40% more than steel. With a plain and contemporary design with a dark color, aluminum will oil can (the gutter will be all wavy and ugly). Commercial work, steel is preferred. If the gutters are maintained with no standing water, it will take 50+ years to see rust on this 24ga steel painted inside/ out with a kynar finish.

    Or you can cut it off. You can also just pull them out with your hands 99% of the time. I’ll undo the top one, realize it’s a nail, the. Use the downspout itself as a giant lever to pry the bottom one out. Then pull the top one out by hand. I don’t carry a hammer unless I need it. Too much extra weight for someone I don’t use much for install
