The other big problem is that many gutters are too small for the roof/runoff. Also, downspouts being to small to handle heavy rains is a big problem.

Have you ever designed a rainwater drainage system? Unless you are installing a drainage system on a large industrial building the typical available gutters and downpipes are more than man enough for the job in most domestic situations. Any failures more often revolve around other factors in the design and installation and adding evermore bigger gutters and downpipes doesn't solve that problem.

Oh gee!!! that would be to much too worry about and to my work. I rather hire a professional to come out!!

Prices are ridiculous for sure. Are you not going to charge me for the materials? I can’t afford to hire a pro for everything.

Why would you go to the DiY store to buy anything unless it was for incidental items?? If you need a gutter system buy through the trade merchants, you will get the same price as the 'professionals' and then you can save the most expensive bit, which is the cost of the labour. DiY stores are for naive weekend bodgers.
