How TF did I miss this? I was so waiting for it! My bad! They have been coming to the States quite often. They did Tiny Desk for NPR (say what?) and two in-studio performances for KEXP (Indy radio) in Seattle, on top of regular touring. I think Gringa should sport a mohawk with 10" spikes for the next OB reaction!😂 I suggest "S'il Vous Plait" next! The title is French, but the song is surf punk!😂👊✌️🤘

Lovely reaction guys! Love UTA! Saw them live several years ago in a small club in Boston. Amazing show. Have tickets to see them this fall with Powerwolf, another band you should checkout. UTA are like an updated, modern version of an old school power metal band. Brittney sounds like the unholy spawn of Geoff Tate and Bruce Dickerson. The song is the first song from the album Apex. Apex and Abyss are futuristic concept albums telling the story of The Immortal and The Matriarch. The Immortal is a cursed all powerful creature (kind of like a genie) who when awakened must serve the person who awakens them. The Matriarch is an evil female who awakens the Immortal to find her sons and bring them to her so she can kill them in a blood ritual so she can achieve immortality herself. This song is about the Immortal being awakened in his mountain home after sleeping for thousands of years. Brittney is playing the part of the Immortal and Grant (harsh vocals) is playing the part of the Matriarch. If you want to delve deeper into the story, Brittney has done track by track explanation videos on Napalm Record for both albums. So many great UTA songs. Some of my favorites are Time Stands Still, Cleanse the Bloodlines, Apex, Waking Dream, Abyss, Legacy, Soulbound, Faster Than Light, and The Wind that Shapes the Land. The Wind that Shapes the Land is IMHO their magnus opus and an amazing song. She's got a great tone to her voice for sure. I've been skirting around them, liking some and kinda cringing some, but i think that's more due to the way they were being presented. Worth keeping an eye on anyway.

I love this performance but I want to highlight a couple of things. The looks on the faces of the band is priceless. This is a stunning performance by Floor and they know it. The other thing is that I love the orchestration, especially the part with the French horns. Oh, and that really pretty girl in the audience just loving the whole show.

Hell yeah!! Glad you liked it! Unleash The Archers are Progressive Power Metal masters! They do a great job of blending heavy and groovy sounds while telling a fantasy/sci-fi story! If you want to see their vocalist, Brittney Slayes, really flex, check out "Tonight We Ride" next! Other great songs to check out are "Cleanse the Bloodlines" (from the same album as Awakening), "Abyss", and "Northwest Passage" They released a new album recently, if you'd like to check out stuff from that "Seeking Vengeance" and "Blood Empress" are really good. That being said, their last 3 albums (Apex, Abyss, and Phantoma) have been so excellent, you can't really go wrong with anything off of those!

There is a lot of good music being made outside the Europe-United States axis. There are great bands in Latin America, in Africa, in Asia... Saki, who is on the left side of the stage as seen from those above him, plays with his right hand even though she is left-handed. She recently left the band, now the band is a quartet.

Yes! Primus is one of the bassist's favorite band. This song was composed by the guitarist, Tomo-zo(brown strat) and the bassist, F-Chopper Koga wrote lyrics. The other guitarist, Hana(blue guitar) arranged it and added jamming part.

What’s crazy is these guys went to my city in New Zealand (Wellington) that nobody comes to (bands go to Auckland and maybe Christchurch if they come to NZ - with a few exceptions) and played in the tiniest of bars. Was crazy to get that close to a band of that calibre. Fun music.

They come to the US all the time. They have gone from the west coast to the east coast twice since late 2022. They will probably be back really soon. They played Atlanta a couple months ago, but I had to miss them. They play a lot of small towns.
They’re going to be in either Columbus or Cincinnati on July 24, I believe.

Love em. While I'm a metalhead I dated a punk girl in the late 70's & early 80's & she dragged me to Madam Wong's in Hollywood to see punk bands all the time. Otoboke Beaver is 100% the type of band you got there. Crazy AF and just entertaining.
